Netflix were assholes to all the studios + studios realized they could do streaming themselves. Execs pulled all the good shows off Netflix. Execs chose to have a streaming war where only the strongest platforms would survive in the end. All the other platforms are as or more pozzed than Netflix so that argument goes out the window. A similar thing could happen to Youtube and Twitch where other pozzed companies like Disney and HBO decide to get into livestreaming and drive changes through competition. It's unlikely to happen anytime soon but it has been a thing that happens to industries historically.
