Youtube just isn't friendly for EN indies since there's no "YT streamer culture" unlike japan and Susan just buries them in the algorithm. Youtube is such a double edged sword, I both hate and love it. It has a much better streaming experience, being less reasource intensive on your PC, having a much better player, being able to pause and go back to whatever moment you want, less pozzed and tranny nigger filled rules giving you more freedom. I hide chat and thus the only difference between Twitch and Youtube is technical. Twitch has worse stream quality, worse stream delay, more ads, and more integrated features than Youtube. As a viewing experience Twitch is worse than Youtube. As a streaming experience it is generally better because of the Twitch API which allows for audience interaction unavailable anywhere else. It's just a pity that audience interaction is generally limited to zoomer stuff designed to generate clippable reactions.

I don't like the culture, I don't like a lot of the "features" like raids and gift subs, and I hate the far inferior VOD system. They also seem to attract more of the political wing of vtubing which I don't really like because it breaks kayfabe. Transcoding is locked for most channels especially the smaller ones. Some things about Twitch are better, but they're almost exclusively on the creator side of things instead of being better for the viewer.
