Nisanji already started. Now it's just a matter of time.
For those who are unaware, Twitch is planning to do some radical changes in the platform. The small vtubers who stream there will be heavily impacted, so you can expect not just them, but twitch normies as well and probably some giant ones might migrate to other platforms as well.

>"So, what's gonna change?"

The most important changes will be:

>Twitch staff is considering paring back the revenue cut of channel subscriptions granted to the top echelon of streamers in its so-called partnerships program to 50%, from 70%.
>More burocracy to become a partner(monetization).
> And the worst of all: Twitch may offer to release partners from exclusivity restrictions, allowing them to stream on Google’s YouTube or Facebook.

So, this last part means that major vtuber companies, may now move to other platforms, like a stampede. Meaning Hololive vtubers who are only active on Youtube, for example, may be completely crushed, because it will not be 1 or 2 vtubers streaming over them anymore, it will be 20 or 30.
The ones who does 2k while streaming will be the first to go, but the ones who retain a massive amount of viewers probably won't be affected that much.
Do your oishi took a piss at the unicorns or the parasocial friendos? Too bad. Probably only the ones who have loyal subs will remain.

>Can this be a "nothingburger?"
Yes, because Twitch may give up in those changes, or the companies can just accept the cut quietly, while remaining "friendly friendo" by not streaming in multiple platforms.

Good, 2views don't deserve happiness.
Also OP is a retarded gigafaggot if he thinks anything will change.

Out of of all changes you listed only 3rd seems relevant. Vtubers never were in "top echelon of streamers" on twitch, so first point doesn't matter. Second point is vague as hell. That leaves 3rd which i doubt would change much. I don't think lot of vtubers will go with all the trouble to simulcast on different platforms.

>Can this be a "nothingburger?"
yes because the standard partner revenue cut is already 50% and only a tiny amount of partners negotiated a 70% deal, so only a few highest echelon streamers would really be affected and not the smaller streamers like everyone keeps saying, and thats assuming they do go through with this which they might not due to the backlash, and even if they did its unlikely that anything would substantially change about the platform, and even if it did, complacency still wins out unless something really catastrophic happens.

Anon, in what world do you think that some 2views even fuckton of it would endanger Holo?
They have brand, recognizability and devoted fans.

Smaller content creators will be fucked thou.

nyanners already streams on youtube. Do you need twitch partner to get drops because some nijis have it turned on for their twitch streams

>> No.23496246

the leaks also indicated that twitch is thinking of adding an 18+ section which opens the doors for AVtubers and pornstars, who already stream on twitch, to do hardcore content

This doesn't really affect small streamers though. All of these affect bigger streamers.
Except for becoming partner, that might suck. But you unlock subs and bits at affiliate which is very easy to get. And most donations are done through streamlabs. Unless you're a huge vtuber with hundreds of subs, a change there doesn't really mean much because the main income is via donations rather than subs. And they never got the 70% deal in the first place.

This is quite literally the boomer business model. Whoever the CEO frontman is is probably being pressured by decrepit liver-spotted boomer hands in a backroom to squeeze the last bit of money out of the beleaguered retards who use their gay videostream site. Considering the SJW bent of Twitch and the fact all of the blatantly SJW/globohomo type corporations like Meta and Netflix and Amazon have absolutely unbelievably shat the bed while Apple seems relatively fine by comparison with their smaller activist footprint, I'd make a big old guessaroo that Twitch will be one of the next ones to get hit with the "trannies are .1% of the population, stop pandering to them" beatstick. Giant chunks of the economy are about to go -90% and never recover.
