Hello. I’m not sure if I should respond at all to you. But, I’m hoping that by sharing more details, people can see things more clearly.

I used to receive a lot of rape threats (mostly anonymous) especially during my high school years. My friends and family tell me they are most likely from people who are “envious” of me (I’m sort of a top achiever throughout my time in HS). I really don’t want to think that that is true.

Most of them are just spits of pure rage. But, some of them are terrifying. I received an anonymous written warning once in school during 11th grade saying that they knew my exact route home and that they would “get” me when I least expected it. I remember I was so anxious about it that I chose never to tell my parents.
