The issue with being an ESL is that if you have a noticeable accent or if your voice isn't pleasant to listen to than it doesn't matter if you speak fluent as fuck english. You'll never be able to tap into the main english audience. It's the main problem that most of the nijiEN ESL girls like Millie, Enna and Reimu keep running into. Kobo speaking Indo most of the time along with her drowning herself in the local meme market basically gives a bigger audience than say Zeta who has barely any noticelable accent and has a really damn good voice.
