They're the OG Holo ID fan that's been following the talents since their debut (me too actually, but I've never meddle with them), they think the fanbase should be consisting of people who acts like them and tries to gatekeep new viewers. That's not how the entertainment industry works, the more popular an entertainer, the more they attract normies, but in the end it's good for them in the long run.

I still remember the days of PekoMoon when there were influx of fans from EN, those oldfans made a "rules" for new fans on how to behave. Nigga what? I mean the rules are pretty good, but you shouldn't do that. That's called gatekeeping. They think they're protecting their oshi but it feels like they're doing more harm than good.

Also sometimes some people wanted the talents to speaks less English, but they get bullied by those fans instead. I mean, it's a valid request for Hololive Indonesia to speak more Indonesian, instead they get bullied and be told to learn English. There are a lot of people who understands English perfectly, but that doesn't mean they're okay with watching Indonesian girls speaking English all the time. There are some occasions where people enjoys local jokes more than international jokes.

I'm glad talents like Kobo exists, just to show that there are a lot of people out there who wants to watch Holo ID but were put off by them speaking too much English and using too much overseas jokes.
