The email gunrun sent last night was a joke. The potential members got an email in late Feb asking to confirm their continued interest in applying since the last thing they did was send in a round 2 questionnaire in Nov. They confirmed, and got an email back immediately saying that VShojo would reach out in "the following week" with more details. Nothing.
Then they reach over a month later, saying they're so sorry for the delay and their VP of talent would reach out by last night for more details. It said "we look forward to speaking with you personally", so people thought this was the interview stage. No email. Gunrun sends something right before midnight on the date they were given to expect an email, saying they're not moving forward. It sounded apologetic because he knew they fucked up, and they even offered everyone $500 to support them no strings attached for making it so far.

Anyone who got rejected must be seething right now. Who the hell handled this whole thing? Why did gunrun have to step in and send that email instead of the person who was supposed to be doing it? Do they think $500 will keep people from talking about how bad this was? The company's a shitshow.

I have screenshots of the emails, but if I provide them I may out which vtuber I got them from. Not sure if all of the emails were sent in batches and had the same wording or not, so I won't take the chance. If I accidentally outed them, they'd lose any chance at making it in during future rounds and I'm not about to do that to them.

I'm a mod for one of the people who auditioned and have been kept up on the whole thing through now. Every step of the auditions was like this. An enormous wait between emails with no feedback, and no timeline of when they'd hear about the next steps.

Can't wait for a new VShojo member who is going to stream once every 3 months.
