In addition to the obvious Sherlock Holmes homage, her time travel abilities is a reference to Doctor Who, and so is her tendency to disguise herself while holding a gun, which is a James Bond reference. Her character is pretty much one big British pop-culture reference, whether intentional or not. Not sure about the multiverse part though.

It's definitely not a "throw-away comment" when she consistently brings it up time and time again, especially in an interview/radio show (Tokomachi Radio).
Basically, according to Suisei's lore, she's not a regular human but a species she simply calls "idol". As a result she canonically ages slowly like a comet and doesn't need to go to the toilet as she can just reverse-photosynthesize her waste away. Not making any of this up btw.

100% fact, that was the end for me. What made her gimmick work was that she was a normal detective, the MC, a human character, investigating the other mythical members. The time travel thing was just a dumb joke to cover her being late for streams, and now it's treated like some serious canon.
Giving her an incredibly broken ability felt like nerds being insecure that their oshi didn't have powers like the others, even though you always naturally root for the underdog.
