Is it terribly frowned upon to build an identity around a model that isn't unique (as in, anybody can buy a duplicate)? What if somebody has already done exactly that, is it a dick move?

I've been to streams with 20-50 viewers with barely any chat and <10 viewer streams with people talking a lot. At that size usually people only talk a lot if you already built friendships, the average viewer is reluctant to type anything more than hi + the occasional joke or emote.

I guess theres chatting streams, maybe that would be more your thing. All about how you include your viewers without making them uncomfortable.

I've always shared a similar mindset. You don't have to be good, you simply can't have a bad stream. A lot of Vtubers in that range don't have particularly interesting content, but it's not usually flat out bad content and taking into account the streamer's personality is what keeps people around it makes sense.

The only thing you have to worry about with monetization for clips at least for hololive is if you do too much of a stream, or a restricted stream such as member stream or a concert or something, I'm unsure about Niji. Rarely if you do a really really bad translation Cover will hit you themselves, but you'd have to be utterly atrocious to actually get their attention, only otak's done it before to my knowledge.
Twitter is best if you can cut the clip even smaller than it is on your youtube and post it to get peoples attention to your channel, or if you want to just post a freebie full clip every now and again to get attention. Just to make it a bit clearer, the older the model the hotter your phone will get, the devs say it still should not pose a problem if use the proper settings but If you don't wanna risk it, pick a newer model.

I did a payday2 co-op a few weeks ago, as a primary grand Strategy gamer, with an Art streamer, a LOL player, and a warframe player - we're IRL friends.

I hosted last time, but everyone went live for an hour to begin with, then raided into me. Next time, we'll do an hour, then raid into LOL dude.

If you collab your most common game with someone else who plays that game, and you're both live at the same time, you're not attracting many new eyes.
