Ookami Mio, the beloved talent from Hololive Gamers is undergoing a terrible time in her life. Her husband doesn't love her or even acknowledge her, she's childless and growing old, the only solace she finds being her work and her friends.

Said events wounk bleed onto her streaming life and make her fall behind her genmates, so the higher ups decided to assing her a talent manager that would help her get up to speed.

Reluctant at first, Mio didn't know this was the beginning of a new spark in her life.

JRR Tolkien, Rick Riordan, and whoever John Flanagan. All of them have stories I ate up as a child and I doubt I'd be writing today without them. Not that I'm anywhere near the writings of Tolkien or Riordan of course, but they do inspire me a lot.

As a teen I loved Alberto Fuguet and Charles Bukowski. I couldn't get into thick, overly wordy books at the time, so their style was really attractive to me and made me love the punch in each sentence.

Hopelessly juvenile though, as I matured I developed a taste for Dostoyevski and Gabriel García Marquéz. Dosotyevski's bleak depictions of the world coupled with the internal monologues were my favourite, later I appreciated how G.G.M. would depict his characters and their misfortunes indirectly and as he put it "Put a bit of poetry in every sentence"

I began writing fanfics as an excercise a while ago, it's a lot easier to take pre existing characters with defined personalities and putting them into situations to play with said personalities.

Small nitpick, but Mori is 167cm, which is 5'4, not 5'10. Don't know why you changed her height so drastically when she would've been taller than him already.
Overall though, the story is... well, I'm going to wait and see how it goes. It's well written, the prose is correct, it flows well, all that is perfectly fine. But so far I like none of the characters. I get that Mori is supposed to be socially retarded, but picking and prodding the guy when he doesn't want to talk isn't endearing, and neither is bringing up his insecurities. If those insecurities were more specific I'd buy it but if an adult male is short, scrawny and has a girl's name, they are probably insecure about it. The other girls acted exactly like college girls do, being obnoxious with the subtlety of a sledgehammer, so points for realism, but again, not very endearing.

If I didn't come into /vt/ I probably would still enjoy Vtubers a lot, but the moment I came /here/ I stopped paying attention solely to the streams, and soon started wondering things like "why did Pekora and Miko stop collabing after all?", "why was Ollie moaning in that clip?", "why does Ayame stream so little?" and this shit began to fester in my mind. It's like conspiracy theories, but believable. Of course I don't believe that Pekora raped Miko, but WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED? And wanting to know more led me to spend more time here with other people theorizing on why, for example. They fed me answers that I was looking for for questions that I never knew I had. All these things got in the way of my enjoyment, and now I can't watch funny moments without wondering if it's scripted for example. It's sad, really sad. I had so much fun with this hobby, and this place ruined it. Though it is my fault for coming here at all, am I really that guilty for wanting a place to belong?

Yeah I get it, and the change was an intentional decision just out of personal preference for how I think it would work best for emphasizing the differences I felt were there. It could have gone without it for sure but considering it's already there I don't think changing it back would do me any favors.

The girls (Calli included) being abrasive and socially retarded is intended, not saying it's an excuse for them not being endearing, but I plan for things to change over the course of the next chapter or two at least. It's an interesting start.
I think the initial intro was probably a bit too overstretched and while it does do the work of setting up the narrative voice, I think the backstory could have been told more organically in a way that would fit the story better, perhaps in a 'learning english' conversation with Nene?
If you do want to write more of this in the future, perhaps integrating the thoughts in a with dialogue would make it flow better.
