aqua is not a bad player, she has shown that she is a great player skillwise and has enough gamesense to play as a solo ranker in diamond lobbies
however their preparations for this tournament is absolute dogshit, no coach (literally rpr could've just by asking), went full out from scrims making them exhausted comes tourney, didnt change strats despite their current one not working and just didnt spend their time more effectively training together outside of scrims not only for solidarity of the team but also to iron out flaws and make their strength stronger

Aqua's problem isn't her individual skill, but playing with an organized team. And that comes with experience, usually inexperienced players in competitive setups have more experienced players guide them. In this case, she had Towa which isn't enough, they needed a pro to coach them.

All the training in the world wasn't going to help. Aqua is not a team player, Suisei is an amateur, and Towa chokes under pressure. They were destined to fail. Not even sure why Aqua joined this shit to begin with after her attempts to distance herself from any challenge in general. The difference came from their actual mechanical skills and judgement, one being a Predator and the other being a Diamond shitter. Gorilla's worth 10 points as a pred player and the point limit for VSaikyou is 18 points. The lowest Diamond rank would be 5 points so he can only team with 4-cost plat and below players.
