I am very picky with skin color- and this applies to most of the audience as well. I don't hate darker skin colors completely but i would prefer light skin over dark skin. So if you can customise your skin color you obv choose lighter tons.

People often try stuff like whitening soap or whitening pills (I have no idea if they work) to appear whiter. Picrel is a real ad in the Philippines, btw. Imagine the backlash in the US if people advertised a soap that could somehow turn a black woman into a white woman.
