I feel like this chapter could have used more time in the oven. There wasn't really anything stand out in terms of scenes.
I think the phrase 'lacks impact' would be my overall opinion for this chapter. I feel like it needed something to give it that but even the 'culmination' of the romance in the smut scene or the big battle at the end didn't really have that big of an impact.
Also minor nitpick but I think mamatori calling laplus la-chan in that one scene probably doesn't work linguistics wise even if it's operating under the same reasoning as why Kiara speaks Modern english

Good critique, that chapter was sort of an intermission chapter as far as important story business was concerned. Its main purpose was to display what happened during the time they spent in Vienna and what eventually would cause them to head to the next place where a major plot point would happen, not to say I didn't have fun writing it. Sometimes a chapter just ends up being less impactful than the others.

The smut scene was, mostly just a show of love on their part. I don't intend to make smut a common occurrence, just that one, so I'm not too worried about that part at least. All in all, I get it, next chapter will take a bit longer to get out because I'm gonna be writing one or two chapters of my other story as a sort of break from writing the same story (don't want to get burnout) but after that it'll be onto America.

Instead if just having the dialogue, add in some actions or thoughts into it. If a character is talking, what are they doing while they talk? People rarely talk while standing still, and if you imagine them doing something while talking that you didn't write about, I recommend putting it down.
