things to note:
1. vod views of the recent post-break arc will still increase. For example, that Terraria gura stream, when a few days old, was about 450k views, now its on 553k views. Or Gura's monhun stream, on first day it was 600k, now 863k

No wonder every single video has 30 ads in it now if you don't use a blocker.
My issue is that you'd think a company that offers a streaming service on their platform (that they originally implimented to compete with Twitch) would do everything they could to make the largest people and companies that use the service and draw viewers have an easier time streaming and archiving their content. We've had many instances of youtube not promoting or displaying numbers properly for vtubers leading to less overall live viewership because of shit algorithms. They let their automated systems fuck up these peoples streams because of possible briggade/raid activity and have shown they have nothing in place to flag these accounts to have manual checks. I wouldn't have as much an issue with the incompetency if it was just a failure to market, but their automated systems keep fucking over people who are doing nothing wrong and their continuous increase in rules causes more and more people that aren't shit TV companies to leave the platform or take their profit elsewhere (Patreon as a good example years and years ago).

But it's just the superchats that are so dominated by vtubers. The number of concurrent viewers they get on stream is really small.

> Noel is just giving herself an artificial EOP boost that will burn out fast.
There are only EOPs in her GTA, Duolingo and ASMR streams. Nioh, DQ 11 and MHR chats all still look like Niji channels. Noel was getting 80k subs a month when she was healthy last year, now that she is healthy again and able to stream often her numbers have returned, but you would rather shit on other Holos than look at facts.

Yeah pretty much this, which is why I didn't want to post the 2022 predictions right away, they're much less likely to be accurate than this year's. Still though I think we're most likely due for a period of relative stability barring any major fuckups at Cover or Youtube, the insane explosion of growth last year has slowed down to a much more sustainable rate

Waves come and go anon, the holo numbers are over-all very up compared to the past and they are still all inclining. The one thing the viewers want now is competent gameplay/better viewing experience, in this current period.
FBK's numbers are going back up, and Luna/Ina are inclining notably. Lamy/Botan are too. The Homos are all inclining, with astel gaining a major brunt due to his perfectionist autism streak.

To put it simply since December live viewer figures dropped significantly, and if you look at any stream the number of people waiting goes down as soon as the stream starts, sometimes by over half. IIRC Youtube Japan's twitter has acknowledged it as a bug but the US HQ still denies its existence.

It's soulless because Aqua does nothing with it. The relay collab was a fun idea and gathered a lot of viewers. Given the sheer number of different holos in Akukin, it would always be easy to come up with a new event and get some people on board. Aqua was even talking about how she had a lot of ideas for after the HQ was complete, including the salary gacha which was just forgotten halfway through, but then APEX happened. Fuck APEX.
