Absolutely. All they had to do was private the videos of the big japanese companies that could have tried to pull the same shit as Capcom.
The west in general (other than the massive companies like 2K or EA) doesn't give a shit and in the worst case scenario they do, they'd have sent them an email telling them to take down the videos.
Man fuck Capcom.

They could have done what Nijisanji does and simply private the video and unprivate it when they get perms, they did this when their Life is Strange perms expired, they had to private the existing vids, then they regained perms and they are unprivated now.

Pekora MGS, Towa's short Venom cover, Subaru FF6, a bunch of old Ayame streams and collabs.
A large part of 2019-20 hololive history including the old MC server shenanigans, the original AquShion neighbor war, and that's just off the top of my head.
During that time it kinda felt like a big portion of hololive's history itself was getting erased, and a lot of us thought this was the end of them.

I wish it were 99%. There's still a lot privated that doesn't need to be, most of which is because of how much had changed between the holocaust and when they got some permissions back, and they probably don't want them public again. Some others it's a mystery, like fbk's 1 year anniversary stream.

Amazing how Cover never manage to learn every time they have a fuck up. Mel's manager, forcing Aqua to make a video where she's crying and having to dogeza because she played smash with a pro player, suspending Towa because a guy was heard on her voice chat, nearly killing Mio's channel because they refused to do the bare minimum that's expected from their industry in order to stay ahead of their competition, doing jack shit to help Aloe sue her harassers, suspending Coco and Haachama for several weeks, Lamy's manager, Omega.
It just never stops.

Yeah they did. Subaru's former manager was probably the worst out of this bunch. Instead of privating her VODS she straight up deleted all of her old contents.
But you also need to remember that Hololive at that point was on the brink of losing all connections with publishers had they not done their damage control reps. Mio's channel was about to be terminated since it was her second copyrights strike by Youtube. Cover's managing to come out on top of the Holocaust and re-establishing business connections with especially Capcom is nothing short of a miracle.

Amazing how Hololive is the sole company ever that has had videos taken down for copyright reports on playing a game. In every country. tl;dr Mio played an old capcom game, CAPCOM autism cops, much like other Japanese corporations, are hyper autistic about the "monetization of their intellectual property without their sworn permission" because they legit might as well believe copyrights, trademarks, and IPs are worth more than a human life.
They hung Mio's entire channel over Cover's head and in reaction they made it so they didn't have multiple Mio channel scenarios.
The good news is that Mio had her strikes removed and she still exists, the bad news is, multiple song covers and famous VODs are dead forever because I think they stopped caring to un-privatize or ask for permission for obscure games that were in old VODs

Persona 5 being illegal to stream is not the same as a streamer playing a game then getting hammered by autistic companies directly after. Can you show any other non hololive examples of that happening? I am not discussing the existence of autistic Japanese companies, but questioning why Holofags think reporting a video is the reason why Mio got in trouble and not just Capcom themselves, in fact you're contradicting yourself since Atlus hands out strike hammers all on their own.

I'm asking why the fags who say Mio got in trouble due to being reported by the Niji bogeyman, believe that, when Japanese companies have a history of chasing after anyone who disrespects their IP by daring to not follow their autistic rules, and I'm asking for a single example of any other streamer getting in trouble with a company only after being reported and not because of roaming nip legal bootlickers. Some of them just don't like their old content, or how their original models looked, and with little money to be made they don't have any incentive to unprivate stuff. A lot of them have just replayed the stuff they played before, so old VODs are redundant. And some things they just never get permission for (Konami) or the type of permission they got isn't retroactive.
