Mooms also seems to highly appreciate Kiara and the way she engages her. Kiara is used to a lot of wierdness from living in Japan so she can play pretty well with Mumei's character.
I also prefer Toritiny since all three of them are people that don't mind if someone shouts over them so they can just be as loud as they want to be with each other.

Meimei is a unhinged woman overall, she's changing in a slow pace since, let us be honest, her debut was very weak, her acting as a cute anime girl failed in the first 2 weeks and the antis spaming doxx shit make her the easiest target, unlike fauna who doesn't give a shit. I hope Kiara will turn up for future Overwatch collabs, should it become a thing. She declined (or never really considered) FPS collabs in the past because of prejudices against the genre / thinking she's not "good enough" (girl, no one is asking you to carry during a tournament, it's just to fuck around and have fun) / thinking it's not "her thing" (no one is asking to become a 24/7 apex pro streamer, just being open enough that you don't dismiss a wealth of potential collab activities right out of hand).
After Paladins has showed her it's nothing to be (too) afraid of (at least for quick and easy arena shooters), and you can even have fun with the genre (again, of course the primary motivator for her was that it's an opportunity to hang out with Ame, but still, it seemed she enjoyed herself regardless as well), I hope she considers it at least another tool in her toolbox and be more willing to join potential future FPS collabs if the opportunity presents itself.

We've been spoiled by consistent schedules. Imagine if she did her schedules as sporadically as Gura or Ame

Slowly ploughing through the old archives and I came to a realization. I found Kiara at just the right time, she suckered me in with the saviour fagging during the depression move and kept me around with her never-give up attitude and general positivety once she felt more comfortable at home. I really don't know if I could have handled early Kiara and there are some things that would have just made me not watch. Double sperging ahead.
I noticed that a lot of the time earlier when she would explain things, she'd do so first in Japanese, then in English. I've never had an issue with her self-dubbing, but it's mostly been the reverse English->Japanese. Beyond that, I think with the lack of foundation she was obviously building at the time for her 'character', it just generally made her feel a lot more passive and I'm really glad at some point she took over her character and started telling fans what was and wasn't ok/good. I think it really helped set the tone for the streams and chats interaction.

I just remembered that Shylily is german, which kinda got me thinking: what if Kiara could do something with her? Chimken had her infatuation phase with Veibae (sure, most people here reeee'd hard, but Kiara for whatever reasons thought she was cool/admirable and worth collabing with). I find this pretty relatable. When I first started watching EN streams I use to watch Gura/Ame (mostly Ame), but I always had a soft spot for Kiara and there was some saviorfagging as it was the time where community posts would flood my homepage with EN polls, and I was always sad when she was mostly always in last place (I always voted for her though). I don't exactly know when I started watching Kiara more though, could have been Nier as that was the only game she was playing that I cared about (I hate JRPGs). Unironically though, I think the TakaMori Concert is what got me to watch her more, and I remember her Mario Kart stream a bit before moving and she was having tech issues, and she was kinda a mess about it, though as it usually goes with her streams, she picks up the mood quickly and it was a great stream, and then I was in her control.

On the note of her self dubbing, during her unarchived karaoke, I sent my friend the link to the stream in which he knows pretty much nothing about vtubers, and he was kinda put off by even the small amount of Japanese that she speaks today/during that stream. So I guess it can really be an issue for first time watchers, or people that just really don't care you can speak other languages they can't understand. Surprisingly he still watch all of it though.

Fauna is one of my least watched councils (nothing against her, she seems like a perfectly nice girl, just that she had no real standout moments yet for me compared to the other more pronounced characters in council), so I hope Kiara can make me see a new side of her and they have a friendly talk and bond some more.

As for Kiara saying weird shit, I think it's nothing to be afraid of. She's not stupid and can adjust herself according to what fits the situation & partner. She's only "messing" with people when she feels it would help break them out of their shell, relax a bit and have fun, which is sometimes needed with the special autists so collabs aren't just boring mumblefests with no entertainment.
But from everything I've seen of Fauna she seems to be able to handle her own in social situation and talk without spilling spaghetti, so Kiara will appreciate being able to have a "normal" talk with her without having to hardcarry the collab on her back alone

Kiara CAN be cozy if she wants to, but she usually reserves it for special situations, because her usual ideal of streaming entertainment is aspiring to be high energy and wanting to transmit that energy to the audience too. I think both will reach a similar level when they bond and fawn over their cats, for example.

As for her "absolutely hating" ASMR, eeh, it's probably true that it doesn't really appeal to her / she doesn't see the appeal (or has a prejudiced perception of what asmr is, for example that it's all too "intimate" and she has some quirks/hangups wrt intimate/sensual things and doesn't want that to color her image - maybe Fauna can talk and educate her about it, idk), but again see above, asmr being naturally more relaxed doesn't fit with her ideal of what makes a stream entertaining (high energy) anyway. It comes down to two things with her in my opinion. One is that she absolutely knows that regular ASMR exists and she's not judgemental, but she has rightfully asked the question before: what would be the point of a vtuber doing regular ASMR? Why would she put money and time into something that is more suited for regular content creators/dedicated channels? It just doesn't make sense.
The second point is that while she doesn't mind the odd moments if it fits the mood, Kiara definitely veers away from doing fanservice/pandering content and purposefully playing into fantasies of viewers. Yes, last week's megaphone zatsu segment was a thing but things led naturally to that point and she didn't start the stream or the SC reading segment with the intention of doing it from the get-go, which is a very distinctive difference from putting up a frame with the intention of playing the role of someone close to the viewer. I think she wants to prove to both the audience and herself that she's more than just an object of lust/romance and can carry her own weight with her own brand of entertainment (which she does with flying colors). A certain patreon was shut down immediately after the money from it was not needed, which further proves my point.

Again, first of all, it's not like I "want" her to do asmr, especially if she doesn't want to. I certainly wouldn't mind her trying, but I've accepted that it's not/never going to be her thing and don't miss it particularly. I'm just explaining what, from my perspective, her reasons are for not doing it.
As for what's the point of a vtuber doing asmr? Idk, that's a question for the vtubers doing it. Their audiences certainly seem to enjoy it. Maybe the topic will come up in the collab and Fauna can, while maybe not convincing her, at least tell her perspective why she's doing it and what appeals of it to her.

Yeah, I was kinda touching on that point (we probably agree here and I was maybe just unclear?). She probably has an idea that, while maybe not all asmr is sexual in nature, it attracts a certain kind of audience that is looking at it / "using" it in a sexual way, and she is somewhat uncomfortable with putting herself in a situation like that (she's weird about sexuality in general, comes off as rather forward in some aspects, but gets rather prude and closed-off in other things, especially when it crosses the line from harmless playing around that she controls, into actual "serious"/"intimate" stuff that'd leave her "vulnerable"). See also her not doing Ringfit, it's certainly not (just) because she's lazy and embarrassed about her weak body, but also because she knows (or at least thinks) that a sizeable portion just wants that for the "sex noises", and she doesn't want to give that to them as it makes it weird and arkward for her so she'd rather not do it at all.
As for her gravure shots, yeah she certainly doesn't consider them a high point in her "career" and having to do that probably contributed a lot to her hangups and discomfort about actual "sexy stuff" etc

It's a mistake if you think about accesibility for the western viewers, but I can't deem it as a mistake myself. Despite my severely lacking Japanese skills, I never felt annoyed by her self-dubbing since it helps her japanese audience tremendously and she just repeats what she has just said in a different language. Even if you argue that the EN branch should focus on the EN audience, I think that's not correct, as Hololive is a japanese brand which has gotten big thanks to japanese talents that the westerners have watched for months before the debut of EN (and ID of course). Nowadays she speaks probably 95% english, and mostly only translates to japanese when it's necessary (for example she wants to directly ask / talk to japanese viewers for/about a japanese-specific thing, or wants to give a tldr of an important story/announcement to the jp viewers).

I can understand someone who only watched her in the beginning being kinda turned off by the more prevalent japanese dubbing, but for someone watching her today it shouldn't be a big issue
