I never thought much about numbers myself, but I will say since finding picky I do kind of like smaller numbers. I never really used chat prior, but its fun to be able to actually talk to her during streams and have her speak back.

You get used to it eventually, it's the nature of being a viewer. You can pretend to get closer by becoming your own content creator, like a drawfag, but becoming an actual friend of someone acting behind a mask is a tough sell.
What hurts for me personally is that I occasionally DM my oshi back and forth, and she's so nice and friendly to a mere viewer like me. Between that and rumors I've heard that she plays favorites with me, it's really hard to keep things straight and not have false hope.

Trying to make/not having new friends post-college-years is an absolutely fucked situation that's no doubt the main driving force behind my current menhara.
