There's only one vtuber I've actively followed and actively dropped (compared to hordes where I've given them a chance and just said "nah not for me") and that was mostly due to a mixture of losing interest as they started to act more like a caricature of who they started as, losing all interest or faith in corpos after even they got hit by it, and (least importantly but still worth bringing up) them getting a new, far inferior model that they used almost exclusively for the longest time

There was one indie chuuba who I follow religiously but as the time goes on, her mods are getting more and more annoying. Altho it's somehow given since some of her simps were bastard and left her after they shat on her, I really can't stand it so I left after they made some unreasonable demand imo

I don't speak Japanese and realized that learning Japanese is absolutely pointless to me outside watching vtubers. Still hope for the best for her though.

Then later, she was in the middle of telling chat she lived alone and hadn't had a boyfriend for over 5 years and as she was literally saying that, her boyfriend/sexfriend accidentally walked in on her stream because he thought the viewers couldn't see him. But this chuuba was streaming as her roommate that night so everyone could see him. Later she claimed it was a burglar and lied about filing a police report. When no one believed her, she changed her twitter profile pic to a picture of her flipping off the camera.

I won't say who it was, but I hope she's no longer successful and really regrets being such a lying slut.

Dropped all chuubas, to not come here once in while to feel better about myself knowing that as shitty as it can get at least I'm not simping for some fleshbag grifter.

Most of (but not all) of NijiEN. I hadn't been enjoying their content that much, Then the discord leak was the final push I needed.

Kiara. She was the only one in Myth I enjoyed watching but the timezones didn't help and after IRyS + Council I found I enjoy them more.

Bae. I love her model and voice. But her hyper genki and loud voice drove me away. Nothing wrong with it but I prefer soft spoken entertainers like Fauna or IRyS, even Mumei can get loud but not all the time. Also she's very competitive and proud, not in a good way. I started to dislike her when she went all in to win against IRyS and her competitive nature to the point it's no longer fun started to filter me.

Many JP and some ID talents. The language barrier is stronger that I thought, even as an N4 it can be a bit overwhelming.

Reimu. I was happy there was a ES chuuba but she rarely streams in ES and her voice isn't that enjoyable.

Enna. People keeps telling me she's a great singer but she rarely sings. Her King cover was meh. i didn't enjoy the membership Karaoke and as soon as Fauna's prerecorded Karaoke started I moved there.

At the end of the day. Voice and Charisma are everything to me. They can save an ugly model and even a bad singer. The ones I keep coming back to are entertaining, and I could listen to them for hours.

There was a large combination of things but really what it came down to was being annoyed that almost every stream is vidya, theres over 50% collabs every week for most the girls, and most importantly it just felt like they were legitimately trying to chase off their old fans who just wanted cute girls to watch.

The first 2 I could ignore since it's just a content issue, I'd just watch what i care about.
But it really started to feel like they were actively being hostile to people who just wanted to watch the girls or a particular streamer without the others butting in. A few cases that really bothered me.

By itself it's not a big deal, just Vox and fulgar being garbage. But it's just another example in a long line of streams it happens.

Her cooking stream was just the least cared for thing I ever watched. I'm not a huge rosemi fan but it was terrible, then she ditches it to collab with vshojo. It was such a blatant fuck you to her fans who just wanted to have a nice cooking stream.
Then in her rfa stream she just randomly throws up a picture of uki at the end. No reasoning behind it just randomly "lol and here's a male vtuber I'll plaster in front of your faces." I dropped Hololive like a sack of potatoes after that awful EN2 gen. I went to Nijisanji, and realized just how much better it was over there. Like, they actually had FUN in their streams, it was amazing. A magical time, the legendary days of Lazulight and Obsydia.

Then when Nijisanji debuted the EN males, I was again dissatisfied, so I started watching smaller corporations. I found them to be incredibly charming and fantastic, like watching some extremely soulful low-budget movies. I still hang out in the Nijisanji EN thread, because the smaller corpos are less frequent streamers. But whenever they're doing something good, I'm there.

Her specific laugh is fine in moderation, but past a certain point she started doing it after every sentence and it just got grating. Also her fanbase is kind of shit and her relationship with them is really weird. Like they're extremely overprotective of her and they're all "I could never look at her in a romantic way" while also being obviously infatuated with her, leaning into it further with in-jokes about how even chat doesn't want her. Her mods in particular act like this but I bet they'd spiral into depression if it ever came out that she wasn't the pure foreveralone girl she claims to be.
