I think it was probably in the neighborhood of like 170k total or something. If we look at the least-affected with kroners there, that equates to starting off with about 50-60k more subs than Sana just thanks to Susan even if they had totally equal numbers in theory. Kronii having 2/3rds as much cut that might help explain why she got so far ahead of the others, and Mumei was not as badly affected either and has been a pretty steady 2nd too. Even so, unSusaning Kronii would give you about 810k currently and unSusaning Sana would give you about 480k, 169% more vs ~223% more as it actually-is today. So unSusaned Sana would be closer to the rest but still pretty far behind.

Also looking at how hard she was hit, Bae has covered some good ground legit on her merits despite getting a rough handling from susan. Thing is I remember Bae started out in the lead handily because her design and people expected her to be some epic Pekora-like shyster shittalker rrat due to her lore and our being directed to pay a lot of attention to it, probably a good 50-100k headstart because people assumed she'd be an EN Pekora. Which, she fucking isn't, and it is really sad/cringe to see her attempt to fill her lore role badly but oh well, people learned to like her for different reasons.

Fubuki simply vouched for her friends being able to do the job well, which would commonly be referred to as a referral, not nepotism. However I'd say literally like half of Sana's slowness is due to her model, and the other half due to her not fucking streaming for weeks/months at a time. Technically on paper she is strong as fuck - amusing personality, can speak Japanese enough to collab decently, really good artist, legit likes Japanese culture etc - kind of a genki Ina. I can see why they thought "she'll be good" just reading up on her. I think there is a bit more of blaming Sana herself on account of her being an artist + the fact that we know they can request a few things to get changed about their model pre-debut (but not have huge changes or have it redone). The spikes on Mori's shoulders for instance, if I recall correctly, were a request from her for example.

So you would have thought Sana might have taken a look at it and gone "eehhh this is nice but I'd it a little more like ____." It's not even the skin color itself, it's that the face doesn't match the body, and the hair with its colorful oversized doodads looks like something for like a 9-year old loli character and looks weird on a giant big breasted lady. There are a lot of fundamental design clashes on her. Yet Sana loves Pako and seems really satisfied with the design herself. Or so she tells us. But what you didn't know is that since eariler this year, there's a boom in the ID vtubers scene, some indies and local agencies got more new fans that they can only dreamed of last year or two years before. The only ones who didn't got this new exposure is Holo ID and Niji ID.

Maybe it's still baffling to you that ID market as a whole is inclining, but it's the truth. Holo ID especially Kobo is getting that new exposure to the new ID fans, she's a phenomenon not only overseas but also in the local scene. I rarely seen recurring old names of local Holo ID fans that you'll usually encounters among ID1 and ID2, almost all of them are new names who got into the rabbit hole since this early years.

We are still weak when it comes to merch sales and donation, HoloID still need to rely on foreigners to make profits. Our tokped sales number is still VERY LOW. CCV is just one of the few metrics available to measure success.
