Let's say for example FF7 original, it would just make sense to play it first even if you are interested in the remake, just to have some better context. Many of these older games are also pretty accessible now with all the recent ports. Chrono Trigger would also be a great pickup, it's short enough that it wouldn't even take that long. It's funny, I waifu'd a character for 9ish years who I thought was the complete opposite of her. Tomboy, outwardly arrogant, an actual loudmouth, etc. But the more I thought on it, the more I understand what drove me to really like her and this character to begin with and how similar both are. They both had some level of self-esteem issue but put on a face to keep pushing forward, they both bust ass to achive their dreams no matter how out of reach they seemed, they both have incredible drive, they both were/are misunderstood by the fanbase (Hololive fanbase as a whole for Kiara), and they both don't hold back in speaking their mind (within reason).
I guess what I really wanted was a woman with some buried insecurities who still tries their hardest at something they love day in and day out and isn't afraid to speak her mind.
