It beats me man, the only reasoning I've ever seen was electricity usage. If you're lucky enough to have fancy toys like an RTX and Ryzen, learn how to use them properly. The last time there was a power outage here I checked the UPS my extremely power hungry, dual GPU, dual CPU, file server runs off of, along with all of the networking hardware in the rack + the actual computer I am using right now. It was <100W with the server at idle. Granted it does spin the disks down when they've been idle for an hour, and that was me deliberately making that behavior less aggressive to increase their lifespan. Spoiler: Hard drives actually last longer if you let them spin forever. Take an external hard drive and run it "as intended" and take an identical one, stick it in a file server, and beat up on it. I remember when CFLs were like $20, had to warm up, gave off ugly green light, and went pop in a year. Those definitely didn't have you breaking even on energy. Likewise, tossing all of your CFLs for LED bulbs a few years ago didn't make any financial sense. Now that LED bulbs are cheaper and last longer and some come with crazy high CRI scores you'd be wise to replace any CFLs that die with them.
I bought a ~$30/~30W Chinesium LED bulb that's brighter than the fucking sun to put in my shower. I didn't buy it to save money, I bought it because it's bright. The electronics inside it overheat and go pop every 2 years. They replaced it twice under warranty - even though the card in the box explicitly says not to use it in enclosed or wet environments...
The ~60W/~$5 halogen you'd normally use in there would last far longer. Still worth it to me. They make an even more obnoxious one now.

I'll do you one better, it's essentially the main light in the bathroom. There's an inadequate LED strip vanity light above the mirror, and a bizarre GU24 bulb right outside the shower I am not in California, where they were required, and this fucking place was built well after people collectively realized GU24 was absurd, and that regular/Edison socket CFL/LEDs were okeydokey. Peak American corporate apartment design. Hence the desire to put the brightest bulb possible in there.
Before incandescents became poo-poo and using one automatically meant you ate Hummers for breakfast, I used to swear by GE Reveal bulbs. Bit on the pricier side, but fuckers lasted about twice as long as they claimed, and I never found a CFL with light as nice looking. Bought a ton of them on clearance when they turned incandescents into contraband and kept using them in my bedroom lamps. Probably still have a few left. Good thing there are now plenty of cheap, high CRI LED bulbs to go around these days. Pretty sure GE still sells overpriced Reveal LED bulbs.

I did my own math. My laptop is consuming ~60 Watts of hour. Electricity costs around 0.22 cents per kWh. NASFAQ forces me to have my computer turned on for roughly 15 hours more than I usually would. This would mean that it cost me 72.28$ to run it in electricity alone, and there are hundreds of players.
Take into account that some people have just shit rigs that break down, or turn off, or internet providers that randomly malfunction. Then they cannot play the game normally, which is insane since I have not seen another "free" game that would ever fucking do that.

Starting Liquid Estimate for today was $183,939.97. If you were to exclusively buy Nana, the cheapest coin today, for the maximum number of cycles, you could move a whopping 33 shares. That's 5.5 hours, or less than a shift at most places of work.
Now, consider that the average newfag is likely to beeline straight for oshicoining because newfags don't know any better. If you were shipping Mori, a common fan favorite, you would only be able to move 9, which is about an hour and a half of trading. Keep in mind that's her well below average, on a very good day to buy, starting right after adjustment.

This sort of trend line will maintain for a while, until they get a few good dividend payouts. The main barrier of entry for newfags is how long it takes for your portfolio to build steam, and how much you have to learn about the market to actually turn real profits in a decent amount of time. There are newfags from the Max0r arc that are still playing regularly, but only scraping like 50m networth, which is less than a lot of us are making in dividends per week. That sort of barrier of entry will ALWAYS exist, because it's the nature of the game. You're supposed to learn how shit works.

Exactly, that's the newfags advantage but they'll realize that the more you progress, the more hours you need to put into the game. Like how much your cycles' overall is if converted into hours. What if, what if put buffs on the items/junk items? Since they basically have no use right now. Yesterday I thought what if the junk items boost their corresponding chuubas' networth but I think that would be complicated. Now, what if it boosts the chuubas' dividends instead?
Like probably a very little boost per 1 of the item/a small boost per 20 of the item? eg: 1 PPT Shirt will boost Kanatan's dividends by .0001%/Need 20 PPT Shirt for a .0020% boost to kick in(having 40 PPT Shirt gives .0040% so on and so forth but only having 21~39 will only give .0020% boost) Maybe just tweak the numbers to what would be balance to make it good. And watch how their price in auction skyrockets.

There just aren't coins you can reasonably sell, and I've been using a lot of those trading profit/liquidation of coins to actually fuel my trading (since Mori 10x is eating up roughly 400k per cycle). Oshicoining is at it's most fun when you are competing with others who aren't able to max buy constantly or only those on your board. The most fun I had oshicoining was desperately trying to catch up to Matowa (come back please) and Tower (>>6175115) without ruining myself, even if it angered me in the moment. I haven't felt any joy in oshicoining since I passed Tower and I just sit here wasting away with high Towa buying as it's what I value most and can just sustain where I'm at by being okayish at trading. I've said at length before that Mori buying is the path of least resistance, especially for someone like Cypher who all he has to do is buy to maintain his position.
I wish Mori is fixed as well, since it's really boring but even if they do set her at a price she should be at, it only makes the wall between those who start now vs in the past greater, there is no winning for the devs.
