I actually started watching NijiEN just before the penis arrived and they were legit really good. Completely different feel and fresh as hell when coming from HoloAutismEN. It's kind of sad to see how much the girls are suffering now and completely ignored by the company. Stopped watching them as the males are insufferable wet fags that keep fucking up their kino streams.

While not to my taste, the OTV/"Streamer house" style they're going for obviously has it's fans, and the collab meta on twitch is meta for a reason. People like seeing their favorite streamers interact, collabs are generally less stressful than solo streams so they can pump out more content, and, perhaps most importantly, it creates drama. You might think drama as only a negative, but it does bring in rubberneckers and some of them will stick around. Controversy acts as advertisement, for example I didn't even know Uki or Fulgur's name before people started getting mad about them.

They face a shitton of competition in this area from conventional streamers, but you could argue there's also too much saturation in the standard vtuber arena. I'm not sure how Chinese fujo OLs will play into this.

The rest of HoloEN? maybe, if they work really hard.

A lot of things had to go right to make Myth what it is, and half of these are completely outside any vtuber agency's control. NijiEN could reach the normal baseline for Holo, but probably not that

They're in a weird spot right now, but it'll improve with time.

Current main complaint is how overcrowded everything feels, but as NijiEN grows they'll no doubt sift out into smaller friend groups that mostly benefit from the large number of livers when it comes to special events. Same way it went with NijiJP.

I'm not sure if they'll ever reach HoloEN's popularity, but at the same time I don't think it's a huge problem if they don't. They're all clearly still successful enough to live off their streaming, as proved with both Pomu and more recently Rosemi quitting their OL jobs to stream full time. As long as they can maintain their current numbers, there shouldn't be any issues.
