I don't really hate mori, just lukewarm about her. I did check out her stream for a while after getcha (which I thought was good) but her streams are pretty boring most of the time and the rest of her music are not really impressive. However, the new original song with suisei is okay, at least the non-live version. Suisei is particular about the performance being live (and even if they are pre-record, they have almost no touch up). I can't expect Mori to match up to Suisei on live singing and audio issue does make it a bit worse as well.

As I expected, her performance in the live wasn't great, her dancing was like a flailing gorilla, and her model really isn't read to be shipped out.

There's a song that starts playing in my head after looping Template for a bit. I can't quite figure what it is though, since when I start listening to Template again, it doesn't actually sound all that similar and soon enough completely evaporates from my mind only to return later and annoy me again with its mystery. A big part of having a label is a matter of visibility, not just to your audience, but to others within the industry. As far as your audience it's less a matter of receiving advertising, though there is some, it's a matter of not having the rest of the music industry put above you. The music that she makes as part of the label does get funding generally, but she will likely make less per sale. The parts that I think she cares more about are that she'll meet more people in the industry, and her name will be put out there far more than before.

Listened to Template x10 on the drive to work, I love this song. Don’t think it cracks top 3 though.

Studio version of Wicked is like night and day. Loving it, it’s a very “purple” song. Still Mori heavy though, so if that makes you queasy you might want to turn the other way. But personally I dig the stylistic change Sui’s doing on this EP.

My opinion is probably skewed here just down to listening to Kotone’s cover of the song fairly regularly, but I didn’t find their version all that great. Calli in particular it’s easy to see what she’s going for, I just don’t think she hit it all that well. I sparingly watch Calli streams, but I tend to find her voice pleasant enough to listen to when she’s talking, but I’ve yet to hear her sing in a way I enjoy. I wouldn’t be overly surprised if she puts something out I actually enjoy at some point though.

Someone who follows small streamers tends to prefer the interaction that comes from the streamer replying to (you)r message in particular which becomes increasingly impossible the faster the chat gets, and the same extends to comments on videos and Twitter. I'm basically a newfag here and don't know how old Suisei was like, but to me it's very obvious she is more distant than most of the other holos.
Every other holo I watched is way more comfortable sharing things about themselves, sometimes even cry on stream while pouring their heart out or have drunk streams where they just talk without barriers and don't mind looking dumb and stupid sometimes. They also get even closer during member streams, even when it's not supposed to be GFE material.
Meanwhile the Suisei I've seen so far is always guarded and professional and never gets too close to chat. The only times I've personally seen her cry out of emotional pain were in that member stream before her voice change and when singing Pale Blue to Coco leaving. She doesn't do any heart to heart chatting, doesn't read superchats most of the time and basically is the same in memberships.

Now I'm not saying this is good or bad, that's just how it is and people follow her to get other things out of her, plus she doesn't have the time to do these things anyway. But it's what I've noticed about her.

Well obviously her success as a streamer influences her success as a singer. If she was just a singer, no matter how good, she wouldn't have nearly the audience as she does now. The sad truth is that there are many talented singers out there who never get noticed and it's harder for fans to get attached to just a good singing voice.
The streaming brings in the human connection of seeing what she's doing, what her personality is like and what she is struggling with and people will always want to support another person they're sympathetic with, rather than just a disembodied vocalist.

can't say i agree, i've had this performance in particular on repeat for hours... i'm usually fairly perceptive of little hiccups in her performances, but i don't think there was anything wrong with this one, except at 49:39 where her voice starts sounding very shrill for a few seconds (but that's not the bit you linked). other than that, i loved it.
agreed with both the first song performance and the audio though. the audio quality in particular on this concert was kinda all over the place with the sound people constantly toying with the volume and a couple very crappy backing tracks.

Well she's an artist/idol so it would be weird to play into things that for example Rushia does, She is a distant but I think she cares in her own way, She said she rarely replies to fans because she doesn't want others to get upset and think 1 is getting special treatment and others aren't.
It's a member only stream but when shown the voice clip of her real dad singing GHOST, I thought stuff like that shows she cares about us a little even if it's meaningless, She just has her own way of showing it.
