Not having at least one English speaker is their biggest debuff, Yagoo really thinks Japs care about Holostars when the majority of their almost inexistent audience are foreigners. Even Nijisanji managed to get a fluent hafu like Oliver so why can't Cover do the same?. Honestly I have a hard time imagining what kind of audience StarsEN will have, especially with how big the Chinese and SEA viewerbases are for NijiEN. You can't assume they'll share the Hololive audience considering how little that translated to the current Stars, and even if the language barrier might be a reason there's a lot of EOPs who watch HoloJP, or at least their music. I said on a thread before that Cover might have a bigger chance by hiring people with skills that aren't that represented on the EN vtuber sphere, namely musical other than singing and gaming, but they'll probably have a hard time getting someone who is good enough with an instrument or someone that have almost pro gaming skills to audition.

It's absolutely not the case. Maybe their subs are largely inflated by them, but the majority of their viewers are domestic. Just look at how fast they dropped Aruran after he stopped doing the morning English streams. Only Astel retained a good portion of his EOP fanbase, but he lost a decent amount of it to Luxiem. Thankfully his Japanese audience did grow, so the loss wasn't that bad.

Nijisanji dominates with males, Hololive dominates with females.
This is how it is, plain and simple.
Expect the EN holostars to do nowhere near as well as the Nijisanji EN males have as well.
Honestly cover should just give up bothering with it at this point and focus 100% on the females.

I think a small but dedicated amount of people would actually watch stars en as evidenced by the eop pandering streams the JP stars have done. I think there's a chance they may do better than expected, but I think it's less likely because no chink market and Luxiem already has a dedicated fanbase. Superstar Kaoru was over 10k subs just 2 days after his debut. Oga and Shien took a few weeks.
And of course a debut today has higher numbers than fucking 2 years ago. The Vtuber community in general has grown massively over the years.

Comparing them to ID1 who debuted around the same time as TriNero did, Risu who was the most successful one had 10k after her debut. Now ID3 gets over 200k.
