Lamy was my oshi at first, back when she felt a lot quieter. I stopped watching holos for a while around Coco's graduation, and that break made me notice how much more noisy Lamy felt. I was initially drawn to her voice as something I could have in the background and relax listening to, but the way she speaks these days is too noisy for me to find relaxing. As much as it probably makes for more interesting zatsudans or whatever, it's not for me. I have no problems listening to her voice if I go to videos from a little over a year ago, but it's hard to listen to any of her other streams today. Dragoon here. I watched Ame at first, then eventually dropped her. Not bad, just not a very strong entertainer, and the gamerage/gremlin criticism is legitimate.

I went from Marine to Korone to Ame. Considered Ame as my oshi for a long time but dropped her during her decline last year. Started watching somebody from NijiEN and she became my oshi. I was fine with Ame doing her backstage creative works, organizing collabs, and even taking charge of Myth's 3D (and probably will for Council too). It's just infuriating when I see the people she did all of those things for. At least Mori, Kiara, and Bae know Ame got their back and they're doing their best in whatever endeavour they see beneficial for their careers in Hololive. My former oshi is an indie. She was overworked and tired a lot due to her long hours at her job, but still tried to do her best to stream and interact with her fans, even if they were overseas. I was a really early supporter of her and showed up to all her streams. Since she had such a slow moving chat, it was often very easy to just have extended conversations with her while she played RPGs. Overall, a super comfy experience. In recent times, she started streaming less and less due to her job, but still interacted with fans on social media. She began to feel less and less like a vtuber and more like just a Twitter account. I was starting to lose interest because she just wouldn't stream anymore, but I never really gave up on her. I'd still say hi on her Discord, comment on her membership posts, keep up with her life on Twitter, etc. Then one day shortly after new years, she wanted to individually send thanks to her fans for their support, and wrote personalized, handwritten messages to everybody she could on her membership page. I wasn't among them. It felt high school as fuck, and I realized despite how much I would talk in her streams, superchat, or even buy stuff off her wishlist for her birthday (REALLY regret that part...), I was still a nobody to her. So I quietly cancelled my membership, left her Discord, and became a lot more wary of falling for a vtuber.

My new oshi despises gachikois and is disgusted by people who fall for that sort of thing, so she does a good job giving me a reality check every time she streams.
