I can't say anything for Valorant, but having top tier aim can only get you to DMG at best. The best CS players are the smartest (flusha, s1imple), and the best teams have really good decision making, practiced strategies, and great tactics (2014 fnatic, 2017 Astralis, 2021 NaVi). You don't know how much pressure CS players experience since everything happens so fast, and the right decisions can make or break a game. Flick headshots are only muscle memory for pros.

The problem with this logic is that things happen so fast you can't even communicate anything, it's pretty much all just intuition. People might strategize before a game or during the buy phase but otherwise it's just yelling "BACK BACK BACK" or "GO GO GO" or other super basic shit that makes the game feel childish to play and even worse to spectate. I stopped playing CS because I enjoy the more cerebral aspects of team games and Apex or Dota 2 allows you to outsmart your opponents in more ways than bluffing whether you're going to A or B. I'm not saying CS is an imbalanced game, it's probably the most balanced FPS game of them all, but it's just not a fun experience for someone that enjoys being able to communicate in realtime and work together with your teammates.

It's not intuition, it's gathering as much information in as little time as possible, and inferring the moves that the enemy might perform, and then executing a plan afterwards. In a game of equally-ranked players, this all happens so smoothly.

This is low-level gameplay. High level gameplay has concise communication between players, and only goes silent to listen for information.

Different games, different skills. No one is allowed to definitively say which one is more skill intensive until they provide many examples of people with equal playtime in both games and then comparing those ranks. There is more to any fps game than pure aim, or movement, or strategy. Every top tier competitive game is a collection of those things and many more, and until anyone provides an actual analysis of people playing both games all arguments about which is harder is speculation at best.

Here's an example of Timmy agreeing that apex is actually harder than val for new players, which us surprising because most people have the opposite opinion.

At the end of the day these two are still outliers and their opinions won't apply to the average gamer. I don't tribalfag for a literal videogame so I think valorant and apex are comparable in difficulty. If people want to compare then they have to compare extremely similar games like WZ-apex, csgo-val, league-dota, and even then there is room for argument.
