I was thinking about this just now, generally up until HoloMyth, each new gen’s breakout star(s) eventually caught up and ran alongside the biggest of the company (Prior examples: Pekora, Marine, Coco, Gura, Calliope).

Has the lack of such for JP5 (Botan), JP6 (Chloe) and Council (Kronii) indicate deficiencies in the individual talents of these newer gens or more that Hololive reached its apex during the Covid lockdown and now it’s more in a graceful decline/plateau?

As the default inheritors of the position for Gen 4 Kanata/Watame aren't really anything special. Kanata is heavily dependent on certain content for her buff (singing/being super autistic and bad at videogames and taking a long time to accomplish something) and has trouble staying physically/mentally healthy.
