Other anons already answered, but the overseas support doesn't go much further than pity subs. Sometimes they gain a boost in ccv but it's extremely volatile, with Aruran having 2 peaks in a 6-7 month period (the foreign exchange streams and the blue axolotl arc) where he managed to reach 2-3k viewers on multiple streams but then dropped back to his usual 300-ish viewers after it, and Astel who had a pretty decent growth last year but because of Apex having a drought around late 2021 and Luxiem's debut he lost quite a bit of his EOP viewers. The Japanese fanbase is way more stable and loyal, that's why Roberu is the only one that can consistently get 1k or more ccv after how much networking he did last year with other JP vtubers. At the end of the day most of the western Hololive fanbase isn't much different than the Japanese one, as shown by how many deadbeats got interested on Rikka after Spiral Tones (almost none of them), and a good portion of those who are interested in the Stars are more enamored by the idea of male Hololive members, mostly fueled by their nonsensical war against "muh idol culture", but aren't interested in actually supporting them considering how pathetically low viewership is for both solo Stars streams and collabs with Hololive.
