They're always aiming to become jack of all trades kind of company. Their talent is always supposed to treat this as a 2nd job where you can make a decent money. This is at the core of my argument though. Machinima died basically as soon as everyone was able to monetize because it was more efficient/convenient to do so. It was similar to the death spiral of NicoNico as a Japanese video site when YouTube basically took over.

Hololive basically came out of nowhere going from "also ran" to "top of the world" within a year because they focused and followed through along with their strokes of luck. Nijisanji has been basically stagnant audience wise (expanding their network audience without improving the individual audience) basically all year last year and only recently did they luck out with Luxiem which let them basically tap into the non-JP fujo market.

If it keeps going as is, it may be that the likes of VSPO and Neo Porte, which focus one of Niji's core audiences (skill based gaming) start beating them on audience individually (assuming they latter make their debut with really good performances at VSaikyou) and that's all that's needed to have future talent reconsider joining an agency if what they look for is a career as an entertainer.
