I used to watch Nyanners pretty consistently. Didn't really miss any streams. After the Nux controversy, she just stopped being consistent in quality or in her schedule.

She almost always used to have three streams a week and one collab. Around December or so, she stopped doing that. I stopped posting schedules. Wouldn't stream on her main channel for weeks at a time while only streaming on her private YT channel for supporters only (with no archives) or show up on mouse's subathon.

Then she started using a Twitch alt to stream? Not one where she uses IRL facecam or does different content or doesn't use her model, just literally a second twitch for...some reason.

I can't watch someone when I have no fucking idea when they're going to be streaming and can't watch vods of half of the ones I miss.

Also her first major stream after the drama was the milking stream and it was just...I don't know. A bit too gross, and a bit too desperate for me. Even as someone who didn't mind the pee pee poo poo jokes in the past. Pretty much everyone else in Vshojo other than Mouse and Zentreya has the same problem too. They stream so wildly inconsistently with no schedule its impossible to follow them for me.

I swear, it's like everyone started sucking Devin Nash's dick for his takes on streaming platforms. For example, I really liked Purin for her cute voice and Orla for her chill talks and the way she carries herself, but it feels so cheap when I go to their YouTube page and it only looks like a backup to their Twitch VODs. Like what content are you doing for what platform? If you're using both platforms to stream, don't just stream different games, at least make it very distinct from one another and do different content for each. The presentation of it all is just what really gets me, so I dropped them for now (I still hope Purin feels better).

I've been through many many vtubers of all kinds, Holo JP, EN, ID, even CN back when Artia was still on twitch, NijiEN, ID, JP, a couple from the "big 5" startups, and many many indies. Started watching them when they were streaming often and enjoyed the ones who streamed games for long hours at late night JST. Nothing else going on in life and checking the catalogue for new stuff for some quick dopamine. Just as I said before, it's not even the fact of keeping myself up to date with current developments, it's really just the need to fill the void I have where anything could go. Drama, more refined shitposting, looking for fap material in horny threads,.....I wouldn't even know who I should name if I had to tell you which vtubers I like the most, because deep down I know that I don't give two shits besides finding them somewhat endearing. And it's a pattern I noticed fairly recently, not only within vtubers, but also with anime (I stopped watching actively when I got into chuubas) and gaming (used to play tons of league, just because it filled my time and I had nothing else to do, didn't even enjoy it).

At this point I'm considering giving myself a break from internet entertainment altogether, which is not easy in current times, maybe try to pick up some reps and hope to find new, better founded goals in life before I turn into an actual serious schizo.

Joke’s on you OP. I never watched streams. I’ve been basically watching only clips and sometimes watching portions of VODs ever since I got into this hobby. They’re streamers I can objectify as anime girls, I hardly need to have memberships or ever give a single superchat to enjoy that shit.

I think she loves streaming, but is tired of the fame. She went from an audience of a couple hundred people to skyrocketing in popularity within months of debuting her vtuber model, and all of the problems that came with having that many eyes on someone as introverted as she is. I haven't followed her content in a long while, but if she's mainly streaming on other unadvertised channels, my rrat is it's because she misses having a small audience and community and is trying to re-capture that feeling.
