Yeah there's a lot to develop skill wise, but it helps to remember that there are situations where you really couldn't do anything better. One of the things that taught me a lot about the game was trying to get wins with every character especially the movement focused ones. It just forces you to get confident and fast with the most core mechanics like aiming and finding cover.
