If you check the point system and Reimu's team, they /needed/ a plat. They couldn't go above 18 or 19 and she speaks japanese. It was just a fit for the team. There's also way worse players than her in the tournament, just by looking at Nijisanji participants we have freaking himawari. She'll be fine.
