coinbase is great for holding coins but youre not going to get rich unless something blows up but by the time its on coinbase it already has most likely. its great though for buying coins while theyre cheap and legit holding them for 3-5 years and make a good return
its just not instant gratification , its a smart longterm way to build a portfolio though
you can also stake your coins on coinbase and get a percentage back (APY) a year for lending out your crypto. UST (Terra Luna's stablecoin can earn you back around 20-30% a year with anchor portocol) thats the best if you can lend out a good amount a year. say you had 100k to put in an account, you'd get paid 20-30k a year for just holding the funds and you still own it all
if you want to day trade though i'd recommend Mango Markets on Solona ecosystem for 1-10x leverage trades
but hold longterm in like coinbase, cold storage, binance, ect for rewards . id take my profits from trading and stake it in coinbase ect like u said above and hold my funds/ profits in a stablecoin that way

Does anyone know any riggers competent with more "painterly" style models with less anime styling, e.g. similar or slightly more complex textures than Cimrai's, and with a nose more pronounced than a single dot? I found the rigger for pic related but their comms are closed seemingly indefinitely, and $2200 USD is a bit tight for me, even though I know this kind of request is certainly going to be pricier than your usual live2d model.

Has anyone else thought to use their chuub as a custom MMD and HL2/Unity/etc model? It's not hard and the payoff is pretty great if you commission people off Steam/YouTube/DA, even if you start off client-side modding. Listen-type serverside mods and contacting server admins is a feasible step.

Considering I've been contacted by ~15 aspies, there's legitimate merit to the idea. It's only likely to work out with very specific purposes such as networking, commissions, tech support, and quick QnA which posting ITT fulfills just as well if not better. Both of those are requirements are already met adequately in /asp/ and /wvt/ threads without a Discord.

If you're lonely and want personal consult/attention, referrals, or people to play together, that's about all I can fathom a Discord fulfilling. The only group that's formed and survived that's largely /vt/ is the 3D Model and commission group. It could really use a L2D rigger tho, I've just been referring L2D requests to shop and browse on vtuber.gg. Collabing and everything else is best left to Twitter/YouTube/DMs, most friends-only streamers already have their own Discord servers or use Steam/Parsec.

Have you considered or tried uploading a public model of yourself to vroidhub? I've gotten a surprising amount of downloads on mine, God knows for what. Uploading to vroidhub is also required for games such as Craftopia/Valheim iirc for server-side custom avatar gameplay/streaming.

I don't upload to vroidhub so my model isn't used by others. I've imported it into Valheim without needing it hosted there, at least on my end. I'm sure mine isn't hard to remake though. It's a vroid base with a little blend and unity editing on top.

Long time lurker here who finally took the plunge and started streaming finally.
I wanted to do a few test streams and see if I could get used to it and slowly tinker out any technical issues along the way and eventually work more on overall aesthetics like overlays, twitter, etc.

For reading, you either need something copyright free, permission from the rights holder (both author and publisher), or to not get caught.

Twitch doesn't care, and won't flag your account or anything. Twitch actively mutes your stream if they think you're using copyrighted music, to avoid DMCA takedown, because they don't want the hassle that a drawn out legal drama would cause.
So you'd get in trouble if the rights holder saw your video, and issued a copyright claim on you.

Youtube, on the other hand, actively flags your video as containing copyrighted material, and alerts the rights holder. This probably wouldn't occur for reading though.

In today's session, let's talk about (basic) social media branding. I've gone through social media of (most) people posted in the thread, and this could be useful for some of you.

MissFushi's twitter is a VERY good twitter, and you guys should be emulating it. Here's why:

1 - Name
Name includes emoji/Oshi Mark (OM going forward), "vtuber", and also what she is. Makes it clear whenever she comments on something, potential for more views, but also solid branding.

2 - Bio
OM reused instead of linebreak, validates interest (Partnered on TWO platforms). Fanart tag, and as it's not included here, confirms not interested in NSFW art. Art reference linked for fanart, PFP sourced (twitter users sometimes go mad over this). All nice, clean, and short sentences. Well put together.(1)

3 - External links
Location is an email, which is a neat way of getting around twitter's "one link" rule. Linked to Twitch/Main Stream page, which is very important - minimise clicks to locate your other site.

4 - Pinned tweet
Schedule, which is often a good idea, as it lets people know what the plans are for the week, so they know which streams they're going to turn up to.
Uses vtuber tag. This should pretty much be used in everything you tweet ever.
Link to Twitch is useful, and youtube isn't just VODs, which is great. Lots of YT-only content, but then the VODs are all into playlists (glad to see someone else doing it), although it's weird to see a vtuber have their face on show all the time, but I guess I've just not seen many streamers become vtubers.
Again, usage of ArtTag, which in this case, I'd suggest not. It means looking up the art tags pulls old schedules, which isn't what people browsing the tag want.
HOWEVER, browsing the tag means I saw the older post that says NSFW okay, so I'd definitely add 'NSFushiW' to bio, or possibly add in "+NSFW" to the "Art+NSFW tag".
Schedule is clear, easy to read. Times are clear, content is clear, days off are clear.

5 - Just touching on the "twitch about me" section
This is great. Links to discord/youtube/twitter/tiktok, contact email, and very short bio.

Improvements:
- Make mention of the NSFW art thing. Possibly commission one piece so that the tag isn't empty.
- Tiktok isn't linked, but is on twitch => consider setting up a Carrd?
- *possibly* increase size of words on schedule. It's fine as is, but could be small on a small screen?

I'm semi-free for the next several hours, so happy to discuss with anyone, or give advice/info on your own.

The artist can probably quite easily extend the half into a full without too much difficulty. A lot of artists will only charge the difference, which is good of them.
With the rigger, it depends. It's probably possibly to copy the parameters across, but some might need changing based on the extra model parts.

Yeah, it can take a while for notifications to trickle out to people that you're live, which is why a lot of people do starting soon screens for ~5 minutes.
Also, anecdotal evidence, but I did a check on a range of streamers who started within 3 weeks of me. Included ESL/EOP, fe/male, seiso/n't. And whilst female gets higher viewers, the biggest impact was how long you stream for.
Two hour streams are not as highly viewed as longer streams. Worse, your two hour stream isn't as highly viewed as someone who always does longer streams

you can import new psd files to already existing rigs as long as your rigger still has the source file.
make sure to ask your artist to either use the original psd of your model OR the same canvas size to make things easier during importing.
it's easy to rig a half body into a fullbody. I've done it plenty of times, it doesn't add much work.
especially if you're just adding legs, which is hardly any work at all.

Having a naked model makes making clothes easier as you can just duplicate the model, scale it up a little and then just cut/add parts.
If your only model is clothed, you have to redraw the entire body every time you want a new outfit. This is more a 3D than 2D thing, but having 2D naked also has the same perks albeit to a lower extent.
