How about back in 1914 when Kiara wanted spend more time with Mori, but the reaper's duty was to keep watch over some Austro-Hungarian politician who was fated to die soon. He was meant to die of natural causes but there was no specifically determined time. Kiara figured if she just killed the man quickly then Mori would have more free time. So Kiara shot some guy named Franz so she and Calli could spend some time together...Mori spent the next four years knee deep in mud, in the freezing cold atop mountains, and wringing her clothes dry from seawater. Swinging her scythe millions of times.
Then after that conflict, Kiara met some Austrian man who wanted to sell her a painting. She criticized the man's work, but told him he was pretty convincing and said he should become a politician.

Ships are one of those things I'm really into, I will safely tell you that rrat is drowned. There were way too many differences between the two ships to change in the limited time they would have had. There's another thing. I recall Ame telling a story of how she told past Gura to joint Hololive in the future. The implication here is that she knew Gura is going to join Hololive and traveled to the past to make it happen. Which means the time travel method Watson uses can't be used to change the past - the "changes" are already in the timeline before she travels back in time to cause them. That, in turn, means that if Watson attempts to stop something bad from happening in the past she will either fail miserably (and shit plays out the way it should have) or the attempt will contribute to the event happening the way it does, making her partially or fully responsible for the catastrophe she was trying to avert. She knows how time travel works right now, but there's a good chance she tried changing the past back when she was less experienced, inadvertently caused some terrible shit to happen and now has to live with the knowledge that she is responsible

There's been fics like that where Watson needs to create the conditions for the reality she already lives in. It's like a paradox. Knowing you need to do something you've already done but don't know what it is.
She gets angry at her (future) self for not leaving info or not doing whatever needed to be done. It shows time travel carries a ton of responsibility. For every good thing she helped bring about, there could be other tragedies she had to let play out or unwittingly contributed to.

One of the biggest in the fan lore themes I've seen is she was wanted to save Atlantis and made multiple trips to try to do it. It was Gura who figured out why she kept meeting this confused but determined human girl, and Gura told Amelia to let things happen as they should since it was clear they were going to be okay. Had that tragedy not occurred then their paths may have never crossed. Which is a fitting theme for Amelia: we are the sum total of our experiences.

That theory about Gura and Atlantis gives me another idea. Atlantis was destroyed long ago because of some disaster that Amelia didn't (or couldn't) prevent. But the fact that she crossed paths with Gura in the process made the latter aware of impending doom, and allowed her to leave Atlantis before it gets destroyed, saving herself from the disaster that most likely wiped out the rest of Atlanteans and subsequently join Hololive in the future. Which, in a weird way, means Watson saved Gura, which allowed her to join Hololive in the first place. And that's pretty heartwarming.

The only problem with that sort of time travel is the fact that it basically means that free will doesn't exist, because the past and the present is set in stone and can't be changed in any way, and the same should apply to the future. And Ame should be painfully aware of that fact.

I think whatever destroyed Atlantis was out of anyone's control. It was a natural event which no amount of planning could avert. At best Amelia could have warned more of them, if she went back again, but they wouldn't see reason to believe her and it would be creating a huge difference in how the world developed. In that way, saving Gura specifically is incredibly selfish but Amelia is not flawless. However they originally met was already a product of Amelia's actions without knowing it. Even a skilled detective may not be able to piece together the specifics of what happened and when, but she knows that she is happy and that Gura has a future she wouldn't have otherwise gotten. Saving one life and preserving some knowledge of what was lost.

Go a few millenia back and cause change there. Travel back. Now the world is drastically changed. Either it's better or it's worse. If worse, try again.
It's not like her parents are in this timeline anyway. There is nothing binding her to the current condition of the world.
