Ok, so regarding the cryotanks, we should have some. Well, at least the now empty tanks that we used for rocket fuel. They should already be insulated, but if not, that is a simple matter to fix.

next, the production: We should have both the parts and mechanics that could produce a decent amount of cryocoolers just repurposing pistons and scrap from the station (again, it's a really simple process, it involves nothing but motion) BUT even then the production would take a while, that is just how it goes (weeks at the least)

And last but not least, liquid in a cryocooler just seems like a bad idea. We are dealing with temperatures below -200°C. At that point anything water based would freeze, breaking the entire process.

I apologise if i might be a bit hard on this subject, the mechanic in me can't really help it.

Also, chuubanite could be used in the end with actual rocket fuel to enhance the reaction, dropping our required fuel % down a bit (recall something like this being mentioned before, just bringing it up again)

25-30% fuel will be enough to move the station out of the crater and set it upright. As for chuubanite radiator fluid its impossible. So that means refrigeration is impossible without electric generators as we need electricity to cool off gas. Meaning we're stuck with 1700 icehouses and ice trade.

So there's interest in foreign investors to invest /nasa/ a loan to build a port. However to accept such a loan /nasa/ will have to put up collateral in either technology or land and pay interest. I'm not sure if putting up land is worth the risk right now because we're still prospecting the land. The port will be useful to ship ice by sea, which is faster than land. I just don't want /nasa/ to accumulate debt too fast. /who/'s deal for the bakery is to split profits and get a discount on importing goods.

I do however, fear that our entire lore is just becoming trade deals with dead ends on everything else, specially developing tech for fixing the station. We should have mechanics that maintained it while on the voyage, and unless each and every single one has died by now, either from the crash or schizo raids, i see no reason that we shouldn't be steadily approaching the point where we can lift the station from the crater.(and for myself, those consistent dead ends have kinda lessened my drive to contribute)

We do have repair drones in the station that survived the crash. It should help us repair the engines by the end of the month. The biggest problem is that Sana needs to stream. Without faith in Sana we can't properly utilize chuubanite to its full potential. Other nations have figured out how to work chuubanite to perform magic-like feats because they have rituals and glyphs. Chuubanite needs that spiritual connection to work properly. And without Sana streams there's no faith in Sana.

Speaking of Sana, since /voms/ made teleportation possible I was wondering if we can have some form of anti-gravity field with the chuubanite meteorite. The anti-gravity field would be limited to inside the station. It'll let us move quickly through the station and get things done faster. Plus we can have zero-g sports and acts again which should be fun. Another application is magnetic monorails with chuubanite to haul things quickly over the tundra like minecarts and small personal transports. The anti-gravity field could also be limited to chuubanite-conductive materials. So if you want to play zero-g rugby then you need the suit to float. Also the meteorite could make the station "light" enough that we don't need that much fuel to move the station. Just spitballing ideas to end the dead ends.

This is do not agree with, as much as it could be good fur the development of our lore. It's a collaborative writing project first and foremost, once we start going "fuck it, i'm doing it and you can't stop me" we end up with a clusterfuck.

I'm starting to get a little burned out. So the extra help is appreciated. I've been focused on /nasa/'s survival with what we have that I lost sight of what we can do. Chuubanite is a god send because that gives us shortcuts to technology that would otherwise be impossible in the 1700s. What we do have is a nuclear fusion reactor inside the station that gives us almost unlimited electricity. My idea is if we can get the station to moonland upright on its feet on flat land then it can drill a secure "launch pad" into the ground. Ok, after about an hour of trying to wrap my head around it, i think i might have a possible solution (and it's even stated in the chuubanite proposal that it can be possible!)

We create a black hole. Well, a wormhole, more specifically. Esentially, our massive chunk of chuubanite would start exponentially gaining mass, curving spacetime around it, and once reaching a threshold, would form a singularity. The whole science behind it is too complex for me to completely understand, and even harder to explain, but in layman's terms there exist a model for wormholes where the singularity is not a point, but a ring, which creates another event horizon around itself, through which matter can pass through. Our chuubanite meteorite would create a wormhole of that model. It would expend itself completely in doing so, smoothing out the spacetime after the fact(so we don't have a black hole left over) and it would only work once, and in only one direction.

OK, small update. The wormhole could also be a Morris-Thorne model, which doesn't have a gravitational pull, is stable, doesn't close in on itself, and is generally just a good boy. The problem with that is the lack of gravitational pull, which would mean we would need to nudge the station. just a bit, but motion would be necessary.

The scenario i was thinking of would have us discover 2 circle formations within the structure of the meteorite. Those would be the purest forms of chuubanite possible, and everything else around would be an impurity keeping it from going on. We would split the meteorite, with one piece stayin in the station, while the other being transported outside to the desired location. once either of the pieces would get all the impurities chipped off so only the ring would remain, the reaction would start.

At that point, there is nothing we could do and it would be over before we even noticed. the whole ship, and plenty of debry around it would just move. no motion would be detected on our part, since we didn't move, the space around us did. And just like that, we would be out, the 2 rings dissapearing, expending all their energy for that one action.

Chipping the meteor by hand would be dangerous. We could get a drone to do it as their welders and drills should be strong enough to chip at the meteorite. Once in the air we'll have to activate the rockets to stablize the descent and land properly. The meteorite chunk inside the station should be at the "top" so that pulls the station upward.

If we're going to use the nuclear engine approach then I assume we have to find the weapons vault. The weapons vault would have spare rocket engines we can use for the new engines. As for binding the materials we'll use energy drained chuubanite which can infuse itself as well as hot chuubanite. From there we energize the chuubanite infused material with power and we have a reactor. Flood liquid hydrogen on it, squeeze the gas, and we have lift off.

So priority is to track the weapon's vault and secure it. Sound like a plan?
