Do you think that either the man or woman is still going out and meeting up with their old high school friends and work colleagues? This was kind of a tangent, but I feel like those things are not brought up enough in terms of life-long relationships. That must be why most of them don’t work out these days. People that don't have friends are a big red flag, don't do that. A couple is not the same as friends, you won't share everything, so you need other people to do other things. If you're basing your relationship on both of you sharing everything and only depending on the other for social interaction, it won't work at all. The usual pattern is that one person gives up everything, the other doesn't, the one that gave up everything grows dependent and tires out the other person, that starts more and more wanting to see other people
