What really baffles me is how many chuubas are jumping in with zero experience in soulslikes, and/or knowing that they're bad at games like it. Well, no, I'm not really THAT baffled, FotM bait + a "haha laugh at the streamer fucking up XD" arc. Still, if you somehow missed the decade+ of "git gud" and the infamous zeal of the diehards who will screech at you for doing X instead of Y (even if both are valid techniques), but DEFINITELY don't do Z, and then are surprised/upset that they flock to watch you make those mistakes, that's on you.
So far as my own ER experience went, I'm not a tryhard DS player with hundreds of hours in each game, but managed to clear every DS and Bloodborne at least a couple times through throughout the years. ER is piss-easy with the tools you get given. Obviously the magic builds are OP as fuck (but you have to be cognizant of cast times, and basically your windows to throw out spells are equivalent to attack windows for meleebros), but even shit like Barricade cheesing with a greatshield (with high enough Guard Boost, Barricade puts a shield over 100% guard and will cause you to lose zero stamina for the duration) is valid. Summons, especially Mimic Tear (+10) make virtually everything a fucking joke. About the only thing that gave me fits was how like EVERY enemy has a 3-second delay in their attack windups, and/or hyperarmors through.
You just have to be fucking bad at vidya in general, not even soulslikes specifically, not to stumble through the game semi-competently, though.
