/nasa/ Principal's Log:

Interestingly enough in our refrigeration research we have discovered another interesting property of chuubanite. As the purified chuubanite was exposed to the laser the "harder" it became. Sample became so hard that the material became brittle and shattered. Fortunately everyone was behind the blast wall when the material exploded. Fortunately the size of the sample was so small the shockwave didn't harm anything. The explosion left a residue which after a chemical analysis is chuubanite dust. After analyzing the dust we managed to make another discovery. The non-energized chuubanite particles merged with the glass of the microscope plate. The bonding wasn't due to heat but the lack thereof. This could explain the oxidation of chuubanite as when not energized it looks for any matter to bond with. After all matter in theory is energy condensed into physical form via protons, electrons, and neutrons.

We took the plate of the microscope and exposed it to an open flame. The particles that fused with the glass began to glow hot. It seems matter fused with non-energized chuubanite can absorb energy as well as the pure stuff can. Out of curiousity we placed the chuubanite-glass into a cold vacuum chamber to see if we can extract energy via heat transfer. It was a success. Fortunately only pure chuubanite is caustic enough to merge with matter as the glass was "almost" safe to the touch. When I say almost I mean the glass was colder than the cold vacuum chamber it was placed in. What this means is that chuubanite infused matter is can not only store energy for some time, but can absorb energy for some time as well. The chuubanite glass took about an hour to absorb enough heat around it in a room temperature laboratory to become warmer than freezing temperature (0 degrees Celsius).

In conclusion: There are states of chuubanite with energy that it can bond into matter and states of chuubanite without energy that can bond into matter. We still need research on how to extract energy from chuubanite once its energized. If we can absorb enough energy where chuubanite infused matter cools off the environment around it then we may have discovered a low energy way of creating cryogenic freezing.

>>20098323

I will revise this if there are any objections or contradictions that goes against existing chuubanite.

Looking through the crystal ball...
Shouldever /nasa/ & /who/ cooperate further, /who/ will face THREE options
>Option A (Hunger)
/who/ & /nasa/ forms a coalition government similar to Austria-Hungary. However, /who/ starts an internal revolution, slowly substituting /nasa/ influence with theirs until total /who/ hegemon is achieved. Post-assimilation, /who/ will use their newfound modernism to aggressively dominate the realm.
>Option B (Union)
/who/ & /nasa/ found an political-economic alliance like the EU. But in this timeline, /who/'s hunger is satiated and instead of consuming their partner, mutually benefits them and the continent. While they lost their lust for power, their inward direction made them the shining beacon of the world.
>Option C (Revolution)
Similarly to B, /who/ & /nasa/ forms an alliance but homogenizes their philosophy and culture. /nasa/'s desire for knowledge, /who/'s lust for progress, mutates into an unquenchable thirst for revolution. /whonasa/ will start spread their hypermodernism abroad, destroying temples, museum, and everything above the age of 100, replaced with skyscrapers of metal, mirrors, and magic. Entire cultural heritage sites bombarded to oblivion, replaced with the newest complexes and centres. Entire sections of history forgotten. As for the chuubas? The thing /nasa/ and /who/ agreed upon is to build a bakery in the port town so /nasa/ can earn profits from selling food to merchants and locals. /nasa/ still has to ship ingredients through the forest to /who/ to make goods. The goal is to get merchants interested enough in the flour to buy flour in bulk. /nasa/ still hasn't shared the technology with /who/ to make a modern industrial bakery. Outside of hand-cranked mixers and blenders everything else is done by hand. The goal is to earn enough gold to buy manufactured goods we need to repair some of our infrastructure.

>>20102685
The lasers are in the labs that barely survived. Due to their sheer size and power consumption, mining lasers are absolutely worthless for combat. Plus we cannot make any more lasers. Once this one breaks, its gone. Sanalites do not have blaster rifles for combat. Conventional guns are better anyway. And we only have pistols with no easy way to make ammo.

Well it's more of magic that doesnt break the rules of science too much
Like, cold chuubanite pieces cool things by slowing down molecular movements and repelling energy transfer.
Scientifically, it obeys the laws of physics. It doesnt create energy and matter out of nothing, it doesnt automatically freeze. It just repels energy from being absorbed.
But the way it execute it is unnatural/anomalous.
So the science men can understand how it works.

>> No.20103461

>>20103239
That's pretty much cryogenics 101. Cold chuubanite absorbs energy from the environment around it slowing down the molecular vibrations of everything it touches. That's pretty much how heat is transferred in refrigeration. Liquified gasses are pumped into the tubes in the freezer. When inside the freezer the liquid boils into gas by absorbing the heat around it. The gas is then pumped to a radiator where the heat is vented out and the gas liquifies back into liquid.

Hello everyone. I rep /risu/ and here is more lore stuff.

>Nuts- Nuts are the core of /risu/ in many ways. It is our food source, our economic equivalent of paper cash, trading commodity, alchemic ingredient, among other uses. We Risuners love our nuts.
>Nuts 2 Electric boogaloo- As well as physical tree based nuts we also exchange the other kind of nut. Yes risuners tend to be very sexually active and mating is extremely common. The rule we do have is to not nut into someone that is married or taken so this type of exchange tends to be more common among younger risuners as well as single ones. Risuners that are married of course do it with their mate on average 3 times a day.
>Physiology- Risuners are humans but with a small squirrel tail. They can climb trees quite easily and their teeth are exceptional at cracking nuts open despite looking like normal human teeth. Risuners known enhancement is their tree climbing ability which is made easier due to special grooves that they put in the treees connected to or near villages for ease of access to their homes.
>Food- In addition to nuts, risuners do eat some corn and fruits. A few of them have taken to eating leaves when nuts are not available. It should be noted that risuners have some degree of lactose intolerance, likely due to their squirrel based traits. The nut milk from their forest they seem to have a natural immunity to but is currently unknown if this applies to milk from outsiders. Regardless they seem happy to sticking to nut based food for now.
>Religion- Risuners know that every november, their oshi arrives in every village and collects the nuts of every risuner. This is their most sacred tradition as the squirrel needs these nuts to survive. In exchange for the massive quantity of nuts given, the villager in each village who gives the most physical nuts without resorting to foul play will have the honor of giving risu their most special nut. Yes thats right, whoever produces the most nuts get to "nut" right in risus mouth which of course she enjoys just as much as the physical nuts. This is a risuners ultimate dream and honor. The pleasure is undescribable and even a risuner with a husband/wife will proudly say that nutting in the magical oshi was the happiest moment of their life.
>Land description- Risu does have beaches and small plains but the area is mostly dominated by the magical jungle. Unknown to most risuners is that the jungle is feeding off chuubanite buried underground. There isn't a lot there but its enough to make the plants grow at an accelerated rate. Nuts and all other plant life is abundant creating a natural paradise.
>Technological tier- Risu is a primitive tribal society with stone tools and wood as their primary building block. Many structures of risu are made out of wood and either are on the ground or are interconnected to bigger tree trunks. Many if not all of these tree platforms are connected via a network of wooden bridges (think star wars ewok village for reference). They use fire of course for heat, cooking hunted animals, light, and sometimes just decoration. A risu village will be easily identified by the massive amount of torches and fires going on in it despite being made of wood. Buckets of water are literally everywhere in case of a fire breaking out.
>Relations with other nations- this section is developing always. /inf/ is our current friend and more recently we have been reached out by /nasa/ and /rose/ among a few others which ill update this if i forgot.
>Message to all outsiders- We at Risu will accept visitors. However you must heed our warning on these matters. DO NOT TRY TO CONVERT OUR RELIGION! Anyone who tried to steer us away from worshipping our oshi will be immediately declared our enemy and will die in the geese chambers.
Please respect our strange ways/looks. We understand that foreign outsiders will be different than us and will respect this but we will expect you to do the same to us.

More to come. I will anchor this but I will keep updating over time so I hope its not too much of a bother.

>A letter. No, not even a letter as there is no envelope, a simple piece of rustic paper, so much that the texture of the material it was made of can be feel in the fingers. Seems unimportant, but alas looks can be deceptive and this is the case. A junior officer takes it from a soldier with dead in his eyes, his hand trembling. He looks at it confused, then reads it. His heart skips a beat, he knows what will unfold when this news reach the top heads of the nation. No one in the land can know, if so the several anti-world rebels will savor every word in this piece of primitive paper and that will throw more fuel into the fire of their cause. Nonetheless, after careful adjusting his ribbon, he proceed to break the news on the ministry. He knows, even if he is not to blame, that his, and every kronie who knows the existence of this cursing item, faith is to be no more.

...

>'Brothers of Infinity, we sons of the goddess, as you know, took into our fold a nearby nation as a protectorate. You learned about Risu, the land of the Risuners. Some of you, with justified wits, argued about us not only approaching and becoming partners with foreigners, but also with calling a external land as a protectorate. We told you at that moment that a kronie loves first the goddess and then the land she gave us, and that we never will allow to be separated from either; and that this primitive about us we apply it to the other inhabitants of other lands. Sovereign is, as always has been, a value incrusted in the heart of kronies.
>'Stop the chatter you you government pig, your lies w--'
>'Silence. Order must be retain. So... as I was saying. Sovereign. That is an inalienable value of our people, so we have revisited our posture about the land of Risuners. They are, and always should be, the rulers of their land. As of today, we consider our agreement to them void, and we tell them that they are independent. Our nation should be united, but not if our values are put into question. They have agreed that this is for the better. We are proud to have taken this decision. So now, people of Infinity, you have friends in Risu. The Risuners, as... simple... as they may be, are equals to us--'
>'Lies... LIES, LI--'.
>'...they are equal to us. So embrace them as brothers and nothing more! (...) Now, lets recite our hymn to commemorate this historic moment'.

>'In an unforgiving land strive the sons of Kronii,
>their means forever interwoven in cycles
>of heavenly and cursed use.
>But Eternity is not but a mere moment
>under the watch of The Sapphire Eyes.
>Our faith won't be shaken

Hey everyone. /voms/ rep here.
First time writing for this so keep that in mind. I also tried to keep in mind the small story about The Corpse that was in the lore archive, cause I thought it was cool (with the exception of it being an Emirate state cause I know jack shit about Emirates. If anyone wants to help revises that if you really want to keep that, feel free to edit as you see fit).

/voms/ is a desert nation that shares rule with four states. The states of Pika, Tomoshika, Miuneru, and Ryugon (talk about a former state is often discouraged, despite proof of its existence being well known.) Each state is known for following the teachings of their respective gods (for which their kingdom is named after), often to an extreme.
While it remains neutral, the nation has particularly friendly relations with the nations of /ind/ and /vsj+/ (much to the dismay of some of the more radical citizens)
The citizens wear light-colored clothing to accommodate for the heat, although each state is known to incorporate colors corresponding to their respective god.

Okay, that's all I got for now. Am free to discuss how I can further expand the setting. Also Anchor?

Just good old 3D modeling!
I've cleaned up the polar ice (I'll add it back in later with its own thing) and some extra lines, and used the borderless map. Also, I drew in something for the North Pole. You can inspect it more closely with the maps:

Writer here. Glad you loved it
Emirate is just arabic for Princedom/Duchy.
As for inspirations, since VOMS is a desert country I went with semitic influence like Arabic, Hebrew, and Phoenecian. /voms/ being a chill thread and supports unity fits well as a calm desert and Phoenecia.Terms like Elohi (Canaanite for god) and Ba'al (Canaanite for great) are used.
As for the explanation of the Corpse itself, it's a magical anomaly. Everytime you teleport metal it always get sent to the valley by default. With /infinity/ being a major producer of metal ships, if the ships got hit by a teleportation spell they will find themselves among the dunes of /VOMS/

The folklore and faith of /morig/ alike both stem from the mountain in the center of the island, the area surrounding it, and what lies within. Mt. Mori is an ancient volcano, generally agreed upon by modern researchers to be completely dormant, though a famous local legend has been attached to it since long before the nation’s formal founding—one that prophesies its potential for destruction on a global scale. Denizens of the island mainly use the old legend as a means to scare young children into their beds at night, though a very small sect of fanatics will occasionally make a scene raving about the forthcoming doomsday, much to the chagrin of locals trying to peacefully go about their days. Curiously, talk of this legend is much more prevalent the further you get from /morig/’s shores, and spoken about with much greater fervor.

The mountain itself remains idyllic and peaceful, serving as a very attractive landmark, but what’s even more striking is what lies below it. Extending out for kilometers from the base of the mountain, surrounding it in a perfect circumference, is an area that’s come to be known as the Underworld. The air is inexplicably and significantly colder in this area, as if to suggest crossing a supernatural border. Nature thrives here since access to the sanctuary is heavily restricted, and, most notably, large cherry trees flower beautifully during springtime. Including the mountain itself, it is the most sacred place on the island. Trace amounts of latent chuubanite, either in the air, the soil underfoot, emanating from the mountain, the trees, and/or the shrine of the goddess herself is what’s thought to be responsible for the supernatural chill, but to the population of /morig/, the touch of Death is considered a cherished boon and comfort—one that must nevertheless warned to be dangerous in excess. Indeed, visitors of weak mind or constitution are especially cautioned not to remain long in the heart of the dense forest, lest they become entranced by the pink embers they start to find flitting at the corners of their eyes, hypnotized and doomed to wander mindlessly and in vain in search of the goddess’ loving embrace.

The Goddess Faithful oversee the Underworld from their temple headquarters at its perimeter. Shrine maidens reside and receive training there. Their duties include maintaining the temple and its grounds, attending to visitors, acting as guide to those granted permission to venture into the forest in pilgrimage to Mt. Mori, retrieving lost souls who have become spellbound within, and dispatching intruders with deadly efficiency. The scholar priests oversee the temple, grant blessings to those in pilgrimage, and dispatch troubadour missionaries to towns to sing the blessings of the goddess. Great stone tablets are erected in all towns transcribed with the goddess’ words and act as informal religious spaces and cultural landmarks. Shrines also exist in every town. In the past, higher amounts of tribute were demanded to be allowed entrance to the Underworld and be offered blessings, until it is said the Goddess herself descended from her mountaintop shrine to interfere. The priests who once reveled in their privilege were then humbled, and religious elitism scaled back over time. Religious tolerance is also very high in /morig/. Marketeers will encourage foreign visitors to gush as much about the love for their goddess, no matter their origin, as long as they’re willing to receive the same in turn.

The goddess is manifest, but the strict oversight of the religious order by the scholar priests has led to a somewhat fractured relationship between the people and the church, independently of the faith itself. In sheer defiance, some took to proclaiming the goddess was among the people, to spite the church, though what started as a jeer ended up becoming a well-circulated rumor and legend over time, that the goddess indeed absconds from her shrine on the mountain and walks among the people to fraternize unbeknownst. Darker are the rumors that involve a demonic cult.

The faith itself is very simple: live out a good and honest life, love the goddess truly, and prepare to kill everyone else for it at the end of the world. It is prophesied that at one day in the future, with no predetermination when, it will be time to ascend to Mt. Mori and fight your friends, family, and countrymen to the death to be the last one standing to receive the goddess’ embrace. Until then, you are free to go about your life. Because of this, the people of /morig/ are trained to be at minimum martially competent and are encouraged to continue their combat training throughout their life, creating an entire warrior caste on the island. In this way you could say that while there are no formal religious practices in /morig/, the religion is still deeply etched into the people.

It's like a GPS, if it bugs out or without any proper calibration it will always go to 0.0, 0.0 by default.
So any magical metal teleportation attempt needs to be extremely detailed.
The inspiration behind this is Dune (yes it's not just funni desert worm reference) Because the space mages that calculates space teleportation needs the magic spice to properly target where to land. Or else you'll end up in the middle of a sun

One of the anons that complained, I still I'm not fine with it but the thread at that time didn't seem to have any objections to them doing it so I dropped it. Glad that the inf debacle brought this back up, though it sounds to me that, like inf, who didn't have any bad intentions by making that move on the surface, that is, for both nations, so I think something may be negotiated.
We could have who give uuu their land back, and instead have an alliance and right to move through their borders with no tariffs. Who can also go to the uuu thread and ask if they can write lore for them, to establish some trade deals and stuff, that would be checked by this thread to see if they're reasonable.
As to why inf was specifically scrutinised, it's been explained enough already so I'll leave it at that.

As a nation that has a literal flower as its borders, I'm willing to give pyon their rabbit island, if its made to look semi natural.
Picrel was me fucking around the paint tools on my phone so don't take it that seriously, but it may serve as inspiration or something. I figured the inside of the island would have a large mountain in the middle, with steep cliffs to the south, smoother hills to the east, west and north, to resemble the snout, and two rivers ending in lakes to the northeast and northwest to resemble the eyes. I also played around with the ears, fragmenting one of them into smaller island, and folding the other. The extra river on the left island was meant to act as the folding line, but it may not be necessary. The island itself may (need to) be volcanic.

money is a resource just like everything else, and there is no such thing as objective value. the only use money has is in being universally exchangeable. everyone has different ideas about whether or not something is worth the amount of money it is offered for, part of it is because we disagree on the value of the object being traded, but part of it is also because we disagree on the value of the money being used to buy it, so it doesn't really make sense to differentiate it imo. if both of us have something to buy from each other, we might as well do that instead of shipping money around needlessly. it's also worth mentioning that it's easier to keep track of trading goods from a worldbuilding standpoint than to keep track of currencies. otherwise, we have to know how much money is in the treasury, how much inflation is going on, and how much people are willing to buy and sell for goods and services, not to mention doing this for each currency in existence. too much work for not enough in return.

Get this: my thoughts for Mori-affinity chuubanite's special property is being hallucinogenic, hence why prolonged exposure to the Underworld is prohibited due to the trace amounts of semi-active chuubanite in the area. The aforementioned "lost souls" are just people who get stuck having a bad (good?) trip. When harnessed, it can be refined and synthesized into recreational drugs, medical anesthetic, aphrodisiacs, perfumes, and a particularly powerful nerve agent that can be used in chemical warfare. My rationale was that Mori's ability to rile up schizos is practically unmatched at this point in time, so her unique affinity creating especially potent schizo gas seemed like a good fit. Its other applications being more innocuous and/or practical was to represent "pink woman bad" being "pink woman good" to deadbeats. There's also unique attributes to it beyond the hallucinogenic one, such as being a coolant. In particular, I really liked the idea of "cold smoke" being a popular recreational drug and unique export of /morig/--inhaling it gives a mild high as well as a pleasant cooling sensation within the body. You could also probably refine it to be used as a really effective refrigerator, technology which wouldn't unheard of but not very advanced in this time period, which would be a really great unique benefit to us as traders.

Posted this before but didn't notice it in the lore archives so I'm posting it again.

A history of /HFZ/'s tax policies and markets:

/hfz/ derives it's taxes from the fights themselves. Tourists of /hfz/ and citizens bet on who they believe is going to win in each match. Those who win get a portion of the overall pot, with the rest going towards the state to fund future fights. Of course, this isn't the only way /hfz/ makes money, as their oversea sponsorships help fund future fights, and other administrative concerns. Because of these reliable sources of income, very little else in /hfz/ is taxed, allowing plenty of citizens to create their own companies and products, none of which, of course, have managed to match the profitability of the main /hfz/ fights.

The previous head of financial affairs, a man who went by the name of "Yubianon", used to be in charge of managing and collecting the hfz bets. However, he betrayed /hfz/ by crashing the markets, and in the ensuing chaos, fled /hfz/ with a large portion of the countries wealth. After the dust had settled, HFZOP, in his infinite and blessed wisdom, recreated the yubimarkets, effectively rebooting the economy, and installing a group of figures that now run a more... stable version of the yubimarket.

The strangest part of this, is that no one has really seen any of the new heads of financial affairs, leading to wild speculation and theories. Some claim that they are part of the disciples of HFZOP, the promoanons, others claim that HFZOP has simply taken control of the markets himself, for a more fair and balanced economy under his watchful eye. Some even claim that the infernal demon Watamage had tricked OP to put her in control of the markets, but anyone foolish enough to shout this blasphemy is executed for their crimes. In the end, these are all theories, with no real evidence to confirm or deny any of them.
Although, some have claimed that ever since Yubianon left, they have been seeing members of /NASFAQ/ enter OP's palace...

This is probably not the best out there but we did our best. It's still rough around some edges and we are still willing to polish them and add more ideas going forward. Feedback is, of course, very much appreciated.
>/mep/ is a monarchy headed by their untouchable Queen, a title that has been passed down by the women of each generation. Untouchable, due to her strong military force, the Royaltea. The country's Government is united and strong, led by the Prime Minister who oversees every government-related decision. It is inhabited by noblemen and noblewomen alike. The people of /mep/ share a common goal, and that is to spread the beautiful culture of their beloved country.
>One part of their culture is /mep/'s delicious food. They have some of the best chefs in the land, and each of them is determined to not only make the best food approved by their Queen but also make good of the country's reputation for exquisite food. Their most famous dish is Holomie, a food popularized by the Queen. It is said that this dish brings good fortune and luck to those who enjoy and savors it. This country loves its culture of food. Their pastures are large and successful and their land is extremely fertile and grows the most beautiful crops there is, one of their more famous ones being Watermelons. All year round the land grows wonderful and juicy watermelons that are enjoyed by all the people of /mep/.
>Literature is an integral part of /mep/'s culture. Loving and learning how to make the best Fanfics is engraved in every noble's heart. Everyone knows how precious and important Fanfics are in the country, as their value is passed on from generation to generation. Due to this, the RFA was created. The RFA is an acronym with many meanings, but in this case, it is the Royal Fanfic Agglomeration, a large infrastructure in the heart of the country that houses all the best Fanfics in the land. It is a beloved place in /mep/, both by the Queen and its people.
>RFA can also stand for the Regal Fishermen Alliance, a union that consists of both veteran and aspiring fishers in the country. They are in charge of everything sea-related, the collection of fish for consumption and business as well as the trade of anything aquatic with neighboring countries.
>The country loves their Queen, practically worshiping the land she walks on. She is a very creative person and thus has written her own share of Fanfics which are sacred items to the people of /mep/, and are hidden within the depths of the RFA. The country's anthem was composed by their Queen as well! And every day, during the rise of the sun, the anthems are played in every home and every place. They are always reminded to listen to their anthems.
>/mep/ is a good, stable place, but of course, the country has its own share of headaches. One, namely being the Plumepal Resistance Fighters, a resistance that is working with The Anti-Royal Sovereign (or more commonly known as ARS), a group that is rumored to be a band of conspirators seeking to have the Queen relinquish some of her authority and have her "give back to the people" in some form. However their existence is not recognized by the Queen, the Royaltea, or any other authority in /mep/ and is considered to be a mere urban legend spawned from hearsay or incoherent ramblings from those afflicted by a condition known as "Halu".
>Rumors are also common in the country, one being that the Queen has every woman and man dancing at the palm of her hand and concubines from every part of the country at her disposal. Of course, this is a mere whisper with no proof as the Queen refuses to disclose any personal information of hers and is rarely seen by the public eye, usually just holed up in her magnificent abode, Royaltea Guards keeping her safe.

Now that i put into lore /risu/ culture, religion, and all the basics i think its about time that i get along with wtf theyre going to do with it.

>Since the arrival of /inf/, risu has ended what is now referred to as the "dull" era and began a new age of exploration
>Tales of different cultures begin to pour in from not only the inf reps but also from a few other nations visiting our shores.
>One of them is particularly interesting. A nature based world called /rose/. Theyre people are possibly more attuned to nature than we are and this could possibly bring nature supremacy and enhance our nut production.
>To all reps going forward remember we do not want to just hand out free stuff. Everything is to be a mutual exchange. Also remember we are to respect the ways and customs of all outsiders as we would expect them to do to us upon their visits.
>One group shall be assigned to handle the people if /inf/ and their matters. Another shall begin construction of a brand new class ships designed for long range travel and head off for the land of /rose/ in an effort to learn of their magical abilities.
>Thanks to our constant breeding and population growth we have the manpower. We just need to create new coastal cities and ports for sea operations. Right now we only have Jukung class fishing boats and a few Bagan crews for obtaining of fish.
>Our new top priority shall be the construction of our new long range ships. We shall call them the Pinisi
>We should also not be arrogant and think everyone is nice. While we do have warriors and so far relations have been running smoothly we must be alert of any threats that may lurk past the seas and landmasses.
>Be vigilant fellow Risuners. These days mark a new age for us and while they are exciting and rewards are more vast than we could imagine, so are the tragedies that can happen if we do something wrong. Praise the squirrel!

The problem with fan projects is that they usually hit either too low, nobody is really going to play a game with shit graphics, or try to high and burn themselves out without producing anything.
Considering it's a vtuber sphere I was wondering if going with a similar look would be better, while obviously not being that high quality because nobody would even consider doing it, even less for f.r.e.e.

I've been wondering what would be the -low/mid effort- equivalent of .gif related. Unless you consider 3D but I have truly no clue where to start to look because I have no idea what it'd look like.

The thing about art is that beyond the effort level required, there's also the skill level required. For a skilled artist, things that are low effort could be considered very high effort to less skilled artists.
So, basically I'd just look at the type of asset you're most comfortable with, and try to do something that exploits this skillset.
What you posted is a good idea, because the character is not animated per-frame, but instead smaller 2D assets are animated with a skeleton, resulting in less work once the 2D skeleton is set up.
Maybe that animation technique with a oldschool MapleStory detail level could be both soulful and achievable.

Republic Owl / Pecпyбликa Филин / République Hibou / 共和国 ワシミミズク
Notes on what the early war is

-The Republic gets established unceremoniously in an unowned land plagued by schizos
-The exact age of the Republic will be kept vague to allow me more flexibility while writing lore, but it is a very young one.
-Large amount of population starts moving in
-War began against the schizos
-War is economically heavy on the Republic
-War influenced how the Republic was shaped
-The Republic becomes an expert at siege warfare
-The war is a very confusing affair
-War ended relatively quickly and decisevly
-War may or may have not influenced the lack of etiquette, why the people are so crude and the somewhat intense street culture

-The war against the schizos may or may not intersect with the lore of other council splits, it is down to their choosing
-If they do choose so, that would also have to make the council splits interested in sharing the lore also about as young as the Republic
-Potential ways other splits could share the lore
with /nasa/: some of the schizos in the tundra may have fought in the wars, they may have moved north after getting eliminated from the lands owned by the Republic
with /uuu/: Druids may have began their religion when the forest and mother nature aided them in the removal of schizos
with /rrat/: The order of the monks may have begun as a martial order to kick others off from their mountains, similar to /uuu/ in that regard.
with /infinity/: dunno

Reusable body parts with skeleton animation is definitely what, I'd argue, fits better with vtubing, while also being the -lowest- effort so favorable for mass production. You just produce a few parts once and you're done, it'd also make it extremely easy to adapt all the clothing describes in the Lore archives.

>skillset
Oh boy, I'm not artist. Not at all. But I've got my share of years doing both programming and 3D animation, which translates easily to skeletal animation. The best that can happen with projects like those is having a very exploitable barrier entry.
The lore part is a very good example. Someone can just randomly pop up, throw some lore and be done with it, and over time we get the monster that we currently have. The same would apply with breakable parts graphics. You'd have more chances seeing people throwing a "I made a leg inscribed with the merits of my nation" instead of having them try to make a whole character. And with enough chance we might even catch the attention of the /vt/drawthread.

Amusingly, while going full meme like this might not be a good idea this >>20154768 kind of graphics could really fit.

Not him, but the reason why I only brought graphics is because it was more of a general idea of a virtual youtuber game, not a game about vtwgb specifically.
If you really want to talk about it, the problem is that you're thinking of something impossible. You cannot make a game -about- world building, because the world is constantly changing. Let's say you make something today, and in the next week some major yab happens between, I don't know, Suisei and Nene, that radically changes those 2 communities. Now, you have an outdated game. And even if you manage to make something that feeds itself from the board by for example generating text based on a few posts, there's no real reason for you to do it within the game when you can just use your internet browser.
In your example of Dwarf Fortress, the strongest point of this game is that it builds the lore and story on the fly. It just wouldn't work, because at this point it would become pure fanfiction. I doubt anyone would like to see a world where some guy becomes god and decides to eradicate /rrat/ just because he doesn't like them. It'd quickly become a desolated world.

The best you could do is having a game with a huge amount of replay-ability, so it needs a genre check, that bases itself on a period. We all already know the lore, and there's no reason to make a game reciting the lore when you could just open this thread. Not to mention, including any lore from the general already makes the game very niche.

Republic Owl / Pecпyбликa Филин / République Hibou / 共和国 ワシミミズク
On chuubanite experimentation and it's properties

Testing out the mineral is hard for the Republic and its scientific community, Chuubanite seems to be in extremely low supply in comparison to other places of the world where it fills the surroundings. Still, research is kept in moderately good condition thanks to the information network that the Republic keeps in other states. In fact, it's the only form to obtain reliable info on chuubanite thanks to a bigger issue that will be addressed in the following paragraph. Although, other states often mix reality with myth on how their chuubanite works, so a lot of cross-referencing is needed for actually knowing and confirming information.

Chubanite seems to break apart and stop working when testing is done by the Republic and those that belong to it, this also extends to dealing with the chuubanite of other nations and places of the world, no matter the purity of the substance or what it has bonded with. In theory, chuubanite naturally connects to its surroundings in some way, storing some of its properties, althought it does not seem to do this with lead and heavy metals like steel, testing on the chuubanite of the forest of the druids is inconclusive, whenever grabbing chuubanite of the forest, it will simply give back a rock, whenever a large tree is examined for chuubanite, it will reduce its size and start dropping some of the fruit they hold to the heads of our researchers, the druids will often make fun of our teams for being "magicless fools", similar mockery from the monks to the east is common too whenever trying to use their chuubanite tools, this means that we are unable to use their specialized meditation centers and training in their ways is impossible, the space explorers are very conservative with the sharing of information regarding their testing, but it seems even they have better results in their experiments. Hoshiyomian naval experts had to make special devices that use no chuubanite in order for them to be used by our navy. It's as if chuubanite stopped bonding and became stale rocks with no use.

It is entirely unknown why or how, althought some thinkers have tried making their own theories about it ranging from the plausible to the absurd, some of these will be listed:
1. There's a certain aptitude you need for the use of chuubanite, this aptitude may be inherent to nature and living beings, if so, then we lack it. This aptitude may be inherited from the parents, or may be a degree of belief you need.
2. Other nations have stated their belief in chuubanite being a gift from the gods, if so, considering the Republic worships not a god, but humanity itself and the nameless being that represents it, the gods may have simply not given us that ability in the first place and thus the miracle stops working.
3. Chuubanite isn't real, this theory doesn't have much ground to stand on, but considering how the average population will never see it in action, its popular.
4. Chuubanite actually does manifest itself in the Republic as the periodic assaults of insanity that plague the entire world. With horrifying implications, no one likes this theory.
Other theories exist on why the chuubanite rocks stop working in our presence, only a few were listed to show the range of explanations that might or might not be.

wouldn't that directly contradict the anon who made the chuubanite worldbuilding? he said anyone with the right set up can use any other form of chuubanite. moreover, another anon me suggested that the way it works only involves one aspect of magic, that being the ability to bridge the gap between realms. i think your mere presence wouldn't be physically capable of deactivating the magical aspects of chuubanite, let alone the physical aspects of it, but you can have the effect of disabling nearby chuubanite magic as your version of chuubanites ability, maybe you could say it further strengthens the gap, and since your chuuba is as you describe "humanity" itself technically mumei is the guardian of civilization, and thus would qualify as a chuuba god, but since it depends on the thread's interpretation of things, it's fine by me if that's what you guys want to claim it is uneffected by the strengthening of the gaps between realms. this is just my suggestion so that we can keep the mechanisms of chuubanite consistent, you can take them or leave them, but i fear it may cause some contention if you refuse to address the concern at all.

Well, what i currently have as an idea is that Chuubanite itself rejects us, that means that if you were to shoot someone with a chuubanite infused bullet, it would still kill that person, but the bullet might slip off and save that persons life because of the chuubanite rejection, maybe it dodged some very vital organ, sort of like a walking magicbane, the process is kept deliberately vague so that it can be nerfed appropriately. Walking through a chuubanite infused forest would maybe cause a string of bad luck as some of the chuubanite weakens and the forest starts dropping things on the walker so that they leave.

Maybe chuubanite bonded with one of us would make other chuubanite stop working, but that seems very strong and i don't want to stop others from using their chuubanite.
Mumei not being a god is intentional on my part as her own lore is very vague about everything, so she isn't a god, she's humanity, humanity aren't gods, so Mumei is not a god, that's the basic idea.

Since I left a lot vague I'm very willing to take up ideas on how to improve the concept.

it's only the magical effect, and maybe we can say it's more or less effective depending on various factors like range, and the quality of their chuubanite, making it just a bit weaker than it otherwise would have been if not under enough of the condition to be completely effective. maybe they need a specific condition or setup for it to work, but if they want that effect, it would be pretty interesting. remember, others can make it if they know how. also, as a /meat/head, it gives me an excuse to argue that our powers should be stronger to compensate for the addition of a hard counter. we are one of the few cultures that relies heavily on chuubanite in place of technology, namely our regeneration, and while we're still pretty powerful without it, having a hard counter to one of our strongest strengths justifies making it a bit stronger in my opinion.

>>20162075
>she's humanity, humanity aren't gods, so Mumei is not a god, that's the basic idea.
this is in a universe where /asp/ turns normal humans into actual gods, right? and as i said, her lore isn't that she's humanity made manifest, she is the guardian of culture, with a special relationship with humanity due to our culture, but is not inherently tied to humanity, or even culture, as she is merely a guardian. if a normal human could ascend to the heavenly realm, it stands to reason that the representative for the concept of culture could stand along side common school-girls, animal girls, and even AI in the heavenly realm.
>if you were to shoot someone with a chuubanite infused bullet, it would still kill that person, but the bullet might slip off and save that persons life
so, more of a repelling sort of effect, like two opposite sides of a magnetic field. how would this cause chuubanite to
>break apart and stop working when testing is done by the Republic and those that belong to it
unless you mean it does so over time by repelling it on an atomic level, but i wouldn't have an idea of how that would be possible in any realistic manner. have you spoken to your thread about these ideas? they might help you in hammering them out. otherwise, if you leave it vague, it becomes a soft magic system that is generally considered inferrior, especially since we are trying to make chuubanite a mostly hard magic system, as evidenced by the anon who turned it into what is effectively a stand-in for nuclear power, plus some magical effects which, again, i suggested would only be caused by the bridging of realms, so the only real magic in the setting is the ability to tap into the physics of an alternate universe. still, i think your suggestions are interesting, and i an excited to find out what you make of them in the future.

figured it was already talked about, but everything has a little chuubanite in it, hence why animal or plant-like humans exist. there is a larger variety of species in the world in general, some that rely more or less on chuubanite depending on their enviornment and how well they adapted to it. /risu/'s forest and /rose/'s species are both plant-related species/ecologies that rely heavily on long-lasting chubbanite deposits that effected their evolution.

>Regarding gods
Her lore is that one day she popped up in existence as the sum of humanity's efforts, what this means is not explained, she then presumably recieved the title of "Guardian of civilization" by the rest of council. Don't worry or think too hard about it. She's not a god. She will not be a god. I will not compromise on this.
>so, more of a repelling sort of effect.
Not quite what i had in mind in that example, more like, the chuubanite starts becoming faulty once it gets close enough, this disturbs the bullets trajectory.
If someone were to step into a chuubanite infused elevator, the elevator would have a good chance of not working. If a /meat/ warrior were to suffer a wound, his regeneration wouldn't be affected, instead, if a /meat/ warrior wanted to heal up one of the citizens, his chuubanite techniques would not work.
As far as i've described it, it's basically like a bad luck charm that plagues the Republic. Chuubanite machines become faulty, chuubanite infused enviroments become aggresive.
Personally, I don't like the idea of "bridge between worlds", it also feels like a very soft magic thing too.

I'm still waiting to see how other generals keep developing their own concept of chuubanite (in particular what /nasa/'s been writing) before I work more on what I've got, so it won't stay vague forever, that's what i meant.

>bridge between worlds
To add to this, I think enforcing chuubanite and religion together by actual world rules will only be problematic, it's basically an enforcement a divine reality upon the generals, any general that tries to define their own religion will be limited by the fact this heavenly realm exists. It's a creative limit on the mythology they could build up.

compared to what was there before, or any other option i have thought of, it's a pretty hard magic system. i've been thinking about it's mechanics and how it relates to the concept of worship and what not, similar to the greek and norse gods. i imagine each god as existing as a sort of concept, somewhat like plato's world of forms, but each of them represent their own concept of self. when going back and forth from the heavenly realm, you are essentially turned into a concept and are thus powered by that concept's influence, somewhat like chaos gods. when someone uses chuubanite to essentially create a mini-portal to this universe, the stronger one believes in and exemplifies that concept, the more a direct connection is made with whatever concept they are thinking about is formed, this is strengthened by activator substances whose concept, including any sentiments regarding said substance, is sufficiently compatible with the god they are thinking about, which can trap a bit of their influence and come out in the form of magic that is sufficiently similar to the concept in question to be considered unique. since it is trapped, it can be used by anyone, but it requires worship to make and strengthen the connection, which isn't to say the effect itself is necessarily strengthened. think of it like stabilizing the ore, but from the other side of the gap.

sounds to me like their representative is the kind of atheist that dislikes the mention of gods, even in fictional settings, so much that they would be willing to insist that everyone else should be insane schitzos who merely imagine divine influence when it's actually science, similar to how it is in real life. we call them gods, but they are basically just powerful transdimensional beings, how this is at all a creative limit when there is infinite potential in this is beyond me, but since it technically removes the option of being a complete atheist chuunis in the normal sense in this universe, i guess that's one creative limit put on them. kind of annoying, desu. i would rather they change their perspective of a fixed canon that have them insist that there is an entirely different canon, all to make themselves seem like the "i fucking love science, creationists need not apply" kind of writer. take this from a staunch atheist. we'll see how everything goes in the future.

not atheism, antitheism, and the arrogance that comes with it. i used to be the kind of cringey atheist who would get into needless debates with random people for mentioning god in a real world context things like "oh my god" or fiction i didn't care about but since science has been turned into a religion by cargo-cultist lysenkoist narcisists, as >>20167382 describes, i have come to recognize the value in a shared cultural mythos, even if it is ultimately pure fiction. when i see religious people, i encourage them to continue to believe despite my personal opinions. that's just my opinion though.
>>20167047(me)
i should correct myself that technically the atheist position is still technically viable. transdimensional beings aren't gods, they literally exist in a different plane of reality, we call them gods because they have influence over some aspects of our universe like man has influence over the 2-dimensional cartoons we love so much /here/. if you wanted to say that your chuuba doesn't claim to be a god, and finds the notion silly, that's perfectly fine, but that doesn't mean the chuubas don't exist, or that they don't have an influence over this universe. science isn't a magic system, but it seems that way from an outside perspective. hard magic is that, but we're the outsiders. in universe, magic feels like a science, even if some aspects of the process are extremely complex like, different dimension kind of complex. you know we have confirmed the existence of multiple dimensions, and that we probably exist in at least a 5th dimensional reality, if not higher, based on the interactions between supermassive black holes as they collide.

Anyway I think /nasa/ as space explorers are natural truth seekers. While they do worship Sana as their god, she's more like an idol popstar to them. They follow Sana in hopes to learn more about the universe and to have a good time while doing so. Landing on "Planet - /vt/" is certainly an experience for them. And we'll understand when the space journey continues then some of us who will be born here will be left behind. Its a multigeneration project restoring the station. We'll probably wind up making a brand new explorer station. That's implying we can survive long enough to mine asteroids. Also this new crew will have both /nasa/ and natives if the natives can grow into space age on their own.

sorry if i misunderstood anything. that's basically my suggestion, to change your interpretation of things. i described the chuubas as existing as concepts, so if you want your chuuba to represent the concept of humanity, and to avoid the title of god, that's fine, likewise, having a chuubanite-ability that disrupts this interaction is interesting, if a little on the overpowered side if left on it's own. the magic system is hard enough that i don't think keeping it vague, and saying it only effects you with bad luck would make much sense. this material is just another relatively rare substance found in nature, pretty much. there is no reason a bullet laced with chuubanite would defy the laws of physics when it interacts with you guys specifically unless it was either an inherent property of some/all variants of chuubanite, or was an effect of your variant of chuubanite specifically. moreover, the magical effects of chuubanite aren't the only effects you can get from chuubanite. it binds with everything it comes into contact with, and is radioactive. maybe your version of chuubanite could be the opposite though. most people try to refine chuubanite and make it more pure so that the substance can bind more with things, and that it's power can be more effective. maybe your effect is to stabilize chuubanite on contact to the point where it is basically nothing but a rock. or maybe it can make it bind and decay at a slower pace, thus reducing the effectiveness while not necessarily eliminating the effect. again, this stuff is a harder magic system than you might give it credit for, if you are >>20168527 then that might explain why, it's understandable since the rentry basically was describing nuclear physics, but it's simpler than it might seem on the surface. i just do casual research on nuclear physics and i was able to understand it pretty well, hopefully. this thread and yours can assist you in thinking it all through, so don't feel too overwhelmed.
