I am gonna be honest here. As a nijisanji fan.
They wouldn'T exist if they debuted before holo en since they are hololive rejects.
If we talk rethorically and they actually still debuted at nijisanji en before holonen - then yes, they would've been much more popular. Not Myth level but not as low as they are right now. Probably council level

Verification not required.

If anything their success cemented the prolonged career or the JP holos as well due to all the new fans streaming in. Azki would've retired and others would've surely considered that option as well.

What did they do that was so revolutionary? Let's be honest, alot of their hype came from a combination of the platform made by HoloJP, Gura's past and the pandemic. It was a perfect storm for their success. Individually they didn't do anything amazing lol.

They wouldn't exist. I know people here throw the "Hololive reject" as a mean to insult them but without HoloEN, Nijisanji wouldn't have opened a EN branch because the west was a fairly unknown ground before Coco and HoloEN happened.
Pomu and Elira didn't had any content creator experience before HoloEN, then went indie for a couple months and then NijiEN opened auditions. Finana, I don't now her background but I guess she lucked-out to be with the other two.
Would they be more successful in Hololive? Well of course, current Hololive carries a bigger brand value than Nijisanji.
Would they be more entertaining? I don't know, maybe not.
Those 3 are pretty entertaining already bar Pomu and Elira being the power duo.

Never forget that Nijisanji figured that India of all places was a better place to start than a "global" EN branch. Until they realized in hindsight that nobody in India watches anime and Hololive's non country-specific EN branch was generating massive amounts of hype. The the flailing around trying not to lose market share and killing my oshi in the process.

No. Hololive EN took advantage of hype created by Gen 5, Aloe's yab, and Aloe's graduation which created a feedback loop which created a perfect storm for them to hit a MUCH MUCH larger group of people.

Consequently it is because of all these things that Lazulights debut was pretty successful due in part to people getting tired of hololives manager shit and general autism of Myth.

People forget just how much of a perfect storm the Vtuber Boom of 2020 was.

Hard to know but Nijisanji never had any name cachet in the west, they probably would have debuted to even lower numbers than they got in our timeline and been old news by the time Cover got around to making their EN branch.

Now if you want to get really wild, what if Niji EN came out first and instead of these three middling streamers you had Gura, Nyanners, and Ame as the first Niji Wave? Could they have blown up and captured the EN market early on?

>> No.20169128

Western audiences were already invested into HoloJP through clips and meme videos. That's why HoloEN got huge instantly in the first place. And none of those people that made Hololive big in the west knew what the fuck Nijisanji was, because they didn't get clipped as much and none of their livers said nigger on stream.

What if we swapped NijiEN with HoloEN, how would they have faired assuming same debut times?

>> No.20170317

>>20170075
Well, there'd need to be a merge of early Nijisanji EN generations. Let's assume that we just pick all of Lazulight for HoloEN's debut. Pomu is Ame, Finana is Gura, and Elira is Mori. For Obsydia we will say that Petra is Ina and Rosemi gets Kiara. In the end I feel like they'd be of similar size as they are today.

However Pomu as Ame would be larger than Ame today and Gura would be even larger.

>> No.20170335

>>20170075
If you took Lazulight and Obsydia (and toss out Petra) and swapped them with Myth I think they would have done ok, but not amazing. Holo brand would have still carried them but you'd probably be looking at 20k early streams instead of 30-50k. I think Gura's preexisting fanbase and ability to go viral is always underestimated in their success.

>> No.20170802

The big reason why Holo exploded in the west is the infrastructure was already set up by JP members like Fubuki and Korone from their clips.
Niji actually cracked down on clips which significantly stunted their growth.
People forget that Myth was a perfect storm of events, so even if the trump virus lockdowns and algorithm favored Niji EN, I doubt they'd have the same explosive growth at Myth.
