I'm a lurker, I don't even post anything in chats, but I still prefer small corpos/indies because of the chat interaction. It feels more comfy when the chuubas are actually able to read the chat and interact with the viewers. It's probably better for them too, it must be talking to themselves while the chat is spamming emotes and posting stuff they can't even read. Obviously they're not going to gain much money from being a small corpo but for most of them, money isn't the main reason why they're streaming.

Giving up a large portion of your revenue(typically 50% of whats left after youtube's 30% cut) and all the rights to your character IP are big downsides unless being in the corp actually more than doubles your viewership/supers/memberships/channel size and gets you sponsors/merch.
