In Japan usually a traditional idol retires by around 30, however that's usually due to typical Japanese exploitation of young girls looks etc. As a vtuber you can probably stream much later, and even then usually Japanese celebrities will appear in special events, variety TV/etc, and so on and so forth. I think one thing to note is that Towa is quite sensitive with money, at least compared to some other holos that I've seen. This probably reflects her background but the general vibe I've gotten is that she wants to be responsible with money and doesn't really live an expensive lifestyle, but does want to save money and help pay back her mother for raising her. I think given how Towa overloaded back in December and how lots of Towa's friends have been experiencing lots of burnout and stress (Nene, Subaru, Marine, etc.) she's kind of been subsonsciously accepting the idea of it being okay to take a break more often and being able to do so helps to deal with stress. Its kind of like having a vacation scheduled during stressful times of work, you have something to look forward to and that helps you deal with the stress.
