I think it's unfair to compare any EN vtuber to 2020-mid 2021 Myth.
The passion from the fans in that period just isn't at the same level for Irys and Council, even if their daily numbers are comparable.

If we look at like audience caps, NA times are so rough that even slight overlap already impacts everyone's numbers. If Gura isn't streaming, HoloEN caps out at like 25k. For example, a full Council collab only getting 22k with 0 overlap is not optimistic. Not sure what they can do to increase the cap again to 40-50k, but I feel like everyone spamming debuff games and blatantly not caring about numbers isn't helping.

The lower merch sales don't surprise me because smaller audience = even smaller paying audience. Gura and Myth were shilling merch to 35-50k people, JPs to 50-100k people, whereas Irys and Council are shilling to 18-20k.
