So when will other vtubers realize that once they've acquired a certain amount of fandom, they don't need backing from big companies?

You know, the main point of joining Corpo at least hololive is not only about money but being able to create merch for their fans and join a live concert every now and then.

That won't last, soon she'll be lucky to get 5k.

The collabs are also pretty good and I dont think they are allowed to unless they are both at the same company

serious answer? maybe around 1 or 2 year depending on the result those who graduated get after their graduation (if they already have plans to graduate later). short term, it might look tempting to just go indie with that number but nobody know what would happen for the long term. so, they would need to observe things first before giving their decision.

If it was only about streaming maybe solo would be the best move.
Future of vtubing is grander than that.

Not that Rushia in particular ever graduated, but there's a reason it's called graduation.

It depends on what they want really, dropping the company will 100% mean more work for them for a considerable lesser viewership. Just look at KSON. Maybe she gets more money because now there's one less party to redistribute it to, but she sure as hell needs to work so much more, but maybe she is happier like that.

Yeah I remember when Kson got 150K eating pizza. She's bigger than her. Now she's struggling to beat Luna in views.
All those views are bandwagon hoppers and drama tourists they'll be gone within the month.

You can shit on vshojo all you like but their business model of handling most of this shit for you while staying out of streams and dono money is a pretty perfect relationship for a tuber. Impressively, her SC numbers yes somewhat. Video views and CCV "not really", but she's doing better than she was pre-graduation buff. Either way, you can play whatever you want, sing whatever you want, take breaks any time, and keep all the money you make. She's also not optimally playing the algorithm with mobile game sponsors or other common ones anyways. If you want to just stream every day and already have a decent following, there's no reason not to double up on your income from YT and Twitch.
