The Nijinigger problem on /jp/ was just an extension of the greater nijinigger problem in general. They were cancerous on /jp/ sure but that was because they were cancerous everywhere. JP Niji fans are incredibly toxic, they're one of the worst fandoms ever in terms of tribalism and attacking talents over relatively minor issues. They also have a past history of trying to sabotage Hololive by trying to manufacture artificial drama, like the aformentioned thing about Fubuki streaming the ending of a game.

It's the Silver Medal problem. Very few of them haven't tried to get into the biggest corpo, which means they are all rejects who turned to the second best instead. Even being accepted there isn't all tha helpful for their self-esteem, because it tells them they ARE somewhat special, just not "good enough for Hololive". That stings.

In contrast a chuuba rejected by both Holo and Niji will be happy to manage to get into a corpo at all. Bronze medalist is always happier than the silver one.
