I don't watch the Japanese ones but it makes sense for their culture. That's just Japan being Japan. But whenever I catch a glimpse of some American or some British whore trying to sound cutesy after she's spent the past decade binge drinking every weekend and smoking a pack of ciggies a day it just turns my stomach.
