I think part of why I prefer vroid_dm is casual outfits are always based
her new design is 10/10 in its own right and I think it's a really good aesthetic (looks like the protagonist of an indie run-and-gun platformer), but her old black hoodie and dead-ish eyes just matches her personality a lot, and I think a black hoodie outfit for her ArtGun3D would be really nice

This is just a guess but I think part of the "barrier" to getting an old_dm_ outfit is the fact she'd be paying in the mid to highhundreds for an extremely basic outfit. It just makes more sense to get something more visually unique or (compartively) complex at that price point considering it'd cost the same.
