Opinions on what side to write a mind control/hypnosis fic from? I think there's merit on both sides and I'm kind of on the fence here.
On one hand there's the (You) mindcontrolling the chuuba perspective which is pretty direct in terms of where you'd go since it's literally just rip off your favorite mind control method and write sex scenes from there. Only negative I see, and one that's been pointed out last time there was mind control discussion is the fact that it kind of violates the 'ideals' of a chuuba fic since their personalities aren't exactly being given a chance to shine here.
On the other there's writing from the mind controlled chuuba's perspective, which lets their personality shine... while they reel internally in horror about their body being forced under the will of another, and the sex absolutely needs to be from her perspective.

Combine the two ideas with perspective switches. I could see people needing to read the body they're currently inhabiting taking fat dick as a turn off, personally. Have the majority of the interactions with the chuuba be from (You)r perspective but still have some way to communicate how the talent is actually feeling about what you're doing to them, even if it's all just internal thought. The managers all use their special keys to unlock a button locked behind a glass panel. A-Chan has the final key, and so she lifts up the glass, the big red button staring them right in the face. Hololive decided to turn their company into a country of its own, and under the threat of total extermination from their most powerful talents, not only the other vtubing companies, but the government itself, were forced to bend the knee and willingly give them the glorious land of Nipon. HoloX controlled any leaks of rrats on the internet, and Ina hypnotized the masses into forgetting what they had already seen. The few in the resistance were either hunted down by their ground assault talents such as Gura, Roboco and Ayame, but larger areas of resistance got the Phoenix nuclear option.

All hope seemed lost, until someone made a call...

Still gonna continue with it and I hope every series writer sticks with their work as well but fuck; I genuinely hope it's all unsubstantiated rumors or that we all can separate the character from who she was behind the scenes

Honestly being able to separate character from roommate is probably one of those things that you have to do when writing at some point. Since doing actual cyberstalking of an actual person to do research crosses the line at least for me. Especially when the character you really want to write is the girl on stream in kayfabe.

Honestly to the anon looking for a Kizuna Ai fanfic, closest thing is honestly A Sweet Vtuber Nightmare on Ao3 and even vaguely remembering it, the story had something feel kind of 'off' about it, though it does feature the oyabun and some of the old vtubers. So that's basically as close to a fic recommendation regarding Ai I can give.

I'm assuming you're the holocalpyse anon wondering how to handle rushia in your story given that they aren't that central to it unlike for the holoreality image prompt stories, so genuinely you have the space to have her become whatever is appropriate for the story
Personally think having current yabs leak into stories is in much more bad taste than
just writing her as you remember the character... especially if you haven't foreshadowed it.

It's a bit suprising we haven't had that kind of fic with rushia pre-yab anyway... though given that chuubas you like dying is a mild necessity for such a scenario to take place I can kind of see why it never happened even when we were much more abuse centric.

If you're not HC Anon then I assume you're talking about GB Watson. If so then you shouldn't worry too much since she hasn't had a chance to make an impact in the story as of yet so you have that going for you. That being said, I don't think you should let the current Yabs affect your writing too much because it would just leave a bad taste in your mouth if real life stuff leaks into your works and people are reminded of the shit going on. Unless it's revealed that what she did was Artia levels of bad then just go for you original plan with Rushia or just scrap that plan altogether and push her into the sidelines

The foreshadowing of course, being the important part in that equation since that mini arc of Rushia and Ollie did set them up as characters but also left the 'pieces on the board' for the future as it were.
