His voice is smooth and he is able to keep talking about random stuff viewers talk, but I don't see anything special about him.

How do you balance online marketing (getting people to see you) and staying in character? Is there even a balance or are you supposed to make your lore then ignore it? I don't get it, guys...

To what degree should someone play a character as a vtuber? Should the vtuber be a very slight veil that the streamer only identifies by, or should they make a unique personality to play out for streams?

Japanese artists are the only porn makers that can make you look in-depth in their porn, there are a lot of super interesting gems outside of the typical ''brother finds her sister naked and shenanigans ensue'' doujin. If you already have Steam running before you stream there's no chance of getting the popup that shows your account name as you login; you just get the popup that says the name of whatever game you're loading. Just make sure to disable any chat notifications, maybe disable the overlay and sign out of Friends entirely before you go live just to be sure.

I'm looking at getting art for my fantasy character OC commissioned. I was looking around on vtuber.gg at 2d modelers, and a decent number of them specifically mentioned that they don't do armor. Advice for finding quality but minimalistic (save for a few animations) rigging? I wish I wasn’t as attached to this design concept that I have been working on and off for a year… it really is limiting me I think.

Next to no one is making 500 dollars (EXTREMELY low end for a model+rig) in just 3 months unless they're exceptionally good. When I had 20, I was making MAYBE 150 a month and it was because I had some insane whales that a friend passed along via some raids. I had friends with 2 or even 3 times my viewership who I considered much better streamers overall that were barely hitting their 100 per month. This will sound insanely menhera and schizo (and is), but one of the things I do to help practice natural flow of speech is find a "normal" IRL streamer and acting as if I'm in a call or conversation with them. Replying to things they say, giving my input , reacting to videos they're watching with them, cracking jokes with their setups etc. I know it sound absolutely insane and parasocial but it's helped me so much more than just reading shit from a prompt. Just record yourself doing it, listen to it back, and practice from there.
