Yeah, I already knew starting out that it would be a bit weird jumping straight into an already established romance. I'll definitely add some flashbacks to further develop the relationship in the future so it would feel less weird and I already have some ideas for that. For the future it would definitely start of as a slice-of-life/harem story but I still have plans for an overarching plot to keep things interesting.

The hot temperedness of Noel was kinda weird now that I think about it. It was supposed to be more "passion and stubbornness" and less "anger and rudeness". I'll definitely work to fix that since I agree that I went too far with her characterization so look forward to a "softer" and more air-headed Noel now that, as far as they know, their battle's over and that they all deserve to live together in peace after all those years of hardships.

About that last point you made concerning how Noel appeared to be rude, I honestly didn't find it OOC.
Noel is an emotional person, one prone to throw tantrums and hit/punch stuff to vent. Have you seen her lose her shit from her stream disconnecting for 10 seconds and making her audience miss a jump she made? If she kicks, screams and cries from that, then no wonder she exploded at (you) in the story. It's the equivalent of her boyfriend of 5 years telling her he has cancer and is going to die in a month, and that he's been looking for a cure with someone else to no avail, which probably pissed her off even more: (you) told only Pekora of your circumstances and worked with her, so Noel must have felt that (you) didn't trust her or any of the other 3 with your literal life and fate. All of that was dropped on her like a bomb, so it combined with her usual reaction to being displeased led to her exploding in anger at (you).
Unlike Rushia and Marine who cried from grief, Noel cried from anger that she felt (you) didn't trust her, frustration that nothing could be done, and most importantly sheer denial.
Of course, now that everything has passed and there's no more battles to be fough (maybe?) they can all relax so I can see her being far less agresive and hotheaded in general, at least no more than she usually is. But her characterization in Ch1 is appropiate and personally I don't think it should be changed.

Her outburst in Ch1 is a combination I'd say. Sad that you're going to fade and frustrated that she can't do anything to prevent it. That's why in the reveal scene she starts crying before she starts to rip into (you), but doesn't stop crying at any point. She registered the sadness from the bad news first, and then the frustration from being unable to do anything second.
But note that in every other scene she's not the angry hotheaded caricature that most people love to portray her as. When fighting, she's focused, and it's easy to tell just how much she trusts her friends by how synced up they are and how whenever (you) order a switch or come up with a new strategy she doesn't even try to argue and just adapts. And when you're fading, she cries and tells (you) to hold on a bit longer - She's still in a bit of denial in the moment - but not angry or screaming or anything like that (even the narration points it out), and she spends the rest of the scene trying to make (you) comfortable and throwing a few teasing remarks.

I do wonder how you'd have handled the perspective change. I'd imagine it would have been jarring given that most of the story is in 2nd person with a close narrative voice.
In all honesty a story like that would most likely only work if it stuck entirely to watame's perspective, with the fluff scenes contrasting the sex scenes emotionally. Perhaps with a narrative thread of her feeling for you slowly getting wiped away by the desire for sex, the sex scene with you being the tipping point that drives her to depravity.

There's 21 IPs in this thread, despite it being up for almost 10 hours now. I don't recognize most of the posters here anymore, the writers barely post, and even the fucking thread itself has been hijacked (by an excellent example of a schizo - earlyfag spams the thread and stays up at insane hours just to shit up the OP). I sit down to write myself and then I peek at the thread and realize I'll be posting my chapter to the maybe 10 or so regular anons left and then the rest of my 'audience' will just be a bunch of loons trying to stir shit. I compare that to the earlier threads that produced so many great series and romance oneshots and it just takes the wind out of me.
