I've never heard about people complaining about coloured lashes, let alone seen any chuubas with any gaudy coloured eyelashes off the top of my head. If you want them to look good, they need to have dark lines with a good contrasting color to keep them easy to parse on your face as being part of your upper eyelid. While I loathe what they've done to Soul Hackers, Ringo is actually a pretty good example of decent looking colored lashes. She kinda looks like a chuuba as she is.

How did (You) go about getting your character concept from an idea in your head to a reference sheet? Did you go right to an artist & go back & forth with them, or did you try making a mockup on your own first?

How important is Twitter for promotion and if I can get away with using Google Voice to register?

What is a mixer for? Basically, I only see useful for adjusting the audio on a microphone, like maybe you can use a different microphone and then have different settings maintained for the second input. Games are through hdmi though so that would be handled in OBS anyway, right?

I don't use Twitshit whatsoever. What is your end goal? I don't have much care for huge numbers for example, my regular viewers are almost exclusively friends who actually know me thru gaming. Most don't use Twitter or even Twitch for that matter. Everyone has a YouTube and Discord account, it's been huge for me to schedule streams on YouTube and make Discord announcements as early in advance as possible, usually ~5 days before my weekly Saturday stream (which is the best day for everyone). I'd only use Twitter to announce schedules and share/thank fan-artists, currently.

Also, it might interest you to know that I don't care to monetize under Jewgle cock. I get game donations directly to my Steam (which again everyone has). I do plan on setting up a gofundme and crypto-friendly donation links though. I'm actually physically disabled though. So yeah again, what is your end goal? Catering to the masses or gaming together with your friends?

If you've never used gmail before you can utilize the +Add Account feature and switch from account to account instantly without even entering your password again. If you interact and follow people who interact with schizo shit just unfollow, it's very easy. From what I know, if you are logged into one account on chrome, Google will show the other accounts to you. I don't think other people will know about them. Also the youtube account will use the registrant's name, not the email account. So if I make a gmail account and give them my name as Johnny Vtuber, when it makes the youtube account it will default to that, and I'll still be able to change the display name. If I have my real private gmail account as the recovery email and my phone number as the 2 factor they show only the last two digits of my phone number with 2 factor before logging in. In the google account settings they have my johnsmith email and phone number shown in full, but only I can see that.

You can have a secret base layer account with your personal email and number as recovery options and from that secret account make your public facing vtuber email(s). You can use separate accounts and google voice phone numbers all the way down if you want, but I just have the 2-factor keeping people out of my vtuber email. Starting from ground zero when it comes to networking, how do? I plan on marketing myself both on Twitter + Tiktok. Tiktok I think I understand because its just short content + tagging, engaging with viewers.

So for streaming I've been using closed back headphones that isolate quite a bit of sound, but I find that it makes me raise my voice way too much and it makes me sound a bit unnatural. So instead I've been thinking about getting open back headphones, but those leak quite a bit of sound. Wouldn't a mic pointing at you pick that up? I don't think I'd mind something like airpods either since those dont isolate sound at all, but also don't leak due to the nature of being buds.

I had to contend a lot with my first design not really representing me properly and it made me feel burnt out pretty quickly because I felt like I was going to step into the shoes of someone that wasn't really who I am, so what I did was make a brand new design from scratch with more focus on how I would draw an original character using the first artistic inspirations that popped up in my head rather than going for a specific look, and then refined it from there. Months later and it still makes me happy to even look at it because there isn't really anything I can complain about it, even kinda fits my voice because I made sure to keep it a little grounded.

IMO if you can't decide between a voice-fitting one and a personality-fitting one then I'm just going to assume neither are actually that good of a design because you don't feel like either of them can properly represent you. If you don't want to try a design from scratch though, pick the personality one, but having any sort of apprehension is dangerous.

Commenting on what you're doing is okay for a beginner simply because it fills dead air, but isn't good if you do it too much. The viewer can see what you're currently doing on screen, they don't need you to comment on all of it, so first start trying to comment on something the viewers can't see such as WHY you're doing something, your considerations etc. From there try talking about things you can go on tangents about and making jokes as well. Chat interactions obviously trounce all else if you can get them to talk to you, and jokes are easier to make when talking to people directly for most.

You aren't meant to start talking about something completely random in the first place, but something that reminds you of the current situation. If you're playing a game and have to fight robots, talk about some anime you liked with robots in it or other games where there was a really cool robot enemy you enjoyed fighting. If you see something cute, start talking about other animals you find cute. If you're fighting a boss, talk about what you tend to enjoy in a boss fight (multi health bars, evolving attack patterns, etc). You can really go on and on for hours if you learn to "play connect the dots" as I like to call it, but the trick is to keep trying until it becomes effortless. You'll have trouble at first but if you keep trying you'll begin to do it naturally.
